Re: [LegacyUG] Update Problems Reports

2012-02-24 Thread Gene Adams
Agreed.  All the data was there...just double printed overlays if you could
read it.  Have hit the reset buttons several times to default and closed the
program down, but still repeats the overprinting.  Does this whether the page
has a border or no border.  Also the default produced by Legacy tag line at the
bottom of the page is split to left and right of the page and not at the foot
of the page.

indeed the update. You know how you can read what they say was done, but need
to have them write it again in more detail, because we don't know how their

Of course, I was also assuming that people who posted here also reported the

Re: [LegacyUG] Update Problems Reports

2012-02-20 Thread Ron Ferguson
Paula,

I pretty well agree with what you are saying. Sometimes someone may write to
say that, say, a report is messed up, or similar, and I think we all leave it
to someone else thinking s/he will ask what on earth it is about; then we
forget about it, unless somebody does ask the questions.

As a minimum we need to know in detail what the problem is, any changes made
prior to the problem, what actions had been taken that led to the problem,
including settings, what the result was, what Legacy version is being used and
whether deluxe or basic, and anything else that may be relevant.

Re: [LegacyUG] Update Problems Reports

2012-02-20 Thread Brian/Support
I tested and acknowledged a problem with a blank fonts screen when
accessing reports.
That issue has been fixed by the programmers and is being tested by our
beta testers.

I am not aware of nor have I acknowledged reports of scrambled data.

Ron,

I have deleted the thread now, but I seem to recollect Brian saying that it
had been sent to the programmers.

Ron,

I'm curious - when did Millennia acknowledge that there are/were problems
with the updates. I don't recall seeing any posting from Millennia
acknowledging issues with the updates. Everything I have seen has been from
the users.

Bobby,

The answer to your last question is "yes", and I understand that they are
working to resolve the problem(s).

BTW. I think that advising your group not to update at this stage is good
advice, and I have similarly advised my associates in the UK.

As a result of the many problems with the latest updates that have been
reported
on this list, I have instructed the users group in my area to avoid updating
until these problems have been sorted out. Some of the reported problems
resulted in loss of data and miss placed or scrambled data. This is not
good. I

Has there been any acknowledgement from Millennia that these problems exist?
