Re: Fw: Fw: [LegacyUG] - 7.5.0.166 - Still Have Screen Font Problem

2012-03-16 Thread Jacob Psutka
I do not recall the fonts changing in split view prior to the last update.
I guess the moveable fonts are an unintended bonus that Legacy gave us in
the last update. I'm surprised that their techies couldn't replicate the
problem using your database.

Yes. When I do split screen the fonts stay at Verdana 10 rather than
resizing because I had to set it that way for regular view. It is a pain.

Tim - Thanks! Never new about this feature. Unfortunately it will not change
my fonts at present. I can only change them by setting the min. and max.
under the Stretch Fonts when Resizing option. Hopefully this will get fixed

Follow-up to Brian's message.

Sent my file to Tech Support and they cannot determine the source of the
problem. They noted they are aware of several font issues as follows:

Legacy has a variety of screen font problems, which I hope will be corrected
in version 8 when it is released. Here are the known issues by number and
description:

581: Problem with "Stretch Fonts" in notes
778: Legacy Home Tab - Display Font Size
930: Opening Font Size - Very Small Text
0002331: Screen font problems in Vista 64 Bit
0003238: Screen Fonts - Problem if screen maximized from minimum
   0003239: Update resets default fonts

So - we will wait, and I will continue to control font size by setting min
and max.

Report Options

ALL screen fonts. As I subsequently reported the only way to get them to
stick is to select "Stretch fonts when resizing" and then set the minimum to
the smallest size I selected and maximum to the largest size I selected. I
have never messed with the minimum and maximum font choices previously and
used the default. I sure don't want to change them every time I change
fonts.

I have Verdana 10 set for data, Verdana 11 for labels, and Verdana 10 for
notes. I have the minimum font set at 10 and the maximum at 11. No problem
here. However, if I change the min font size to 6 all three (data, labels,
and notes) have now reverted to 6.

As stated previously there is no problem with the report fonts sticking.

Kay

What fonts: lables, data or notes? There are three different font
settings that apply to the screens. Without more details on which fonts
are having the problem it is not possible to help.
