re: [LegacyUG] Why don't I receive emails?

2015-11-18 Thread Jim Terry/Support
Ed,

I have manually reset your LUG subscription, which should fix the problem.
I do not know why email suddenly stop going to some people, like you.
Typically when I check their subscriptions, they appear to be subscribed
and I just click Save to reset and close their screen and all is well.
Emails might stop being send to people when their number of bounces reaches
200 or it may be due to the number of subscribers some how (11,669) as of
now or ???

Trying to subscribe again, gets me the notice that it was successful. But
still no emails. Not even in my Spam box. Any suggestions? I'm using the
archives now.

Re: [LegacyUG] Why don't I receive emails?

2015-11-18 Thread STEPHEN
On the two points that have been raised for this issue,

1) I frequently will not receive any email from the list for several days and
then it starts again. I simply go online to the archives where I always find
that there is none for the missing days. Apparently everybody had other things
to do. No problem.

2) As stated by CE, I constantly receive posts replying to previous posts that
I never received. Fortunately the previous posts are usually embedded in the
replies so I can tell what the subject is.

I also, like many on this list, don't always get emails from the group. Often a
whole week goes by without any email at all, which is most unusual for this
group, and then they start up again. I have no idea why and I don't know how to
re-set any of the preferences. I don't know if I miss any emails since I don't
get a long backlog when they start up again. Maybe everyone is just quiet now
and then?
So I guess that's just how it is.

RE: [LegacyUG] Why don't I receive emails?

2015-11-17 Thread gregandlaurel
I don’t receive emails either, but I think it is a good thing! I can access
the Mail Archives at my leisure to read all new emails, and I don’t have to
deal with dozens in my inbox. I can also correspond with the Usergroup if
needed. A win, win in my mind! Laurel
