Re: FS / Feeler: MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.53 17" Mid-2010

2014-06-03 Thread P B
It was pointed out to me that the LCD resolution is wrong. It should be
1920x1200. The maximum resolution supported on an external display is
2560x1600.

Thanks,

2014-06-03 Thread P B
Hello Swappers,
I have a friend who is wanting to sell his macbook. He tried to make the
switch from PC to Mac and it didn't happen. He only used it to check his
e-mail and surf the net which is sad because this macbook can do so much
more.

Here are the specs:

   - Intel Core i5 (I5-540M) 2.53 GHz which supports "Turbo Boost" up to
3.06 GHz and "Hyper Threading" which allows the system to recognize four
   total "cores"
   - 2 x 2GB of PC3-8500 DDR3 upgradeable to 8GB
   - Dual switchable graphics cards NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 512 MB of
dedicated GDDR3 SDRAM *and* Intel HD Graphics with 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM
   shared with main memory.
   - 500 GB Hard Drive with a fresh install of Mavericks but can be
installed with a fresh copy of Snow Leopard as the Default OS or Empty Drive
   - 17.0" 2560x1600 glossy LCD
   - SuperDrive, iSight, backlit keyboard, USB, FireWire 800, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth, ExpressCard34, mini Display Port with audio, etc.

More detailed specs can be found here:
http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-i5-2.53-aluminum-17-mid-2010-unibody-specs.html

The condition of the machine is excellent, no dents, scratches, etc. Screen

WTB: 2009 Mac Pro Tower 8 core or better

2014-05-09 Thread P B
Hello swappers,
I have a friend in the market for a mac pro tower. He is looking for an
aluminum mac pro tower with the dual quad core xeon CPUs from 2009 or
newer. This is because he wants the hyperthreading and turbo boost
capabilities introduced that year. He would really love the dual six core
CPUs, but money is the biggest concern here. We have been watching what
they go for on ebay so we have a good idea what they are worth. He doesn't
need a keyboard, mouse, or monitor. All he really needs is the tower and
the power cord and that it be in working condition. RAM and Hard drive
size aren't important as we will be upgrading those. If it has an airport
card, that will be nice, but if not, I can add one while I do my upgrades
anyway. Imperfections aren't that important. His old macbook pro just
isn't cutting it anymore for the audio work he's doing. Please send
pictures, specs, and prices including shipping to me.

Hopefully we can make a deal.

Thanks for looking

WTB: Macbook Pro with Core i5 CPU or Better

2014-04-14 Thread P B
Hello Swappers,
I am slowly dragging all my family members into the apple world. My father
in law is looking to get his first Apple macbook, and I want to make sure
it lasts.

I told him that it may have some dents and scratches and he is okay with
that. He doesn't really care about the aesthetics as long as it works.

As far as functionality is concerned we decided having a core I series
would be better for longevity than getting the core2duo. 13" Screen is
fine, but 15" would work as well. Optical drive is a necessity, so this
would put it in the 2010 to 2012 range as far as models are concerned.

RAM and hard drive size aren't as important or could be missing assuming
that the ports work once I actually plug something into them. I'm also
okay doing minor repairs such as replacing a bad optical drive. Please
take this into consideration when telling me how much you would like for
what you have.

Throw out some numbers. Hopefully we can make a deal!

Shipping would be to Tuscola, TX 79562.

I hope somebody here can help me out!

Thanks,
Paul Beckling

2014-04-09 Thread P B
I have for sale a 15" aluminum pre-unibody macbook pro in good condition
with the following specs:
CPU - Core 2 Duo 2.5GHz (T8300)
RAM - Upgraded to 4GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) installed in pairs
(two 2 GB modules)
Hard Drive - 250 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM)
Optical Drive - 8X dual-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperDrive

Connectivity includes AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
standard. Gigabit Ethernet, a FireWire "400" port, FireWire "800" port, two

Apple OEM 85W Magsafe2 Adpater will be included. It will also include an
Apple OEM battery which currently has a cycle count of 145 and shows normal
battery status.

The machine is currently running Mavericks unless you want me to install
Leopard or wipe the drive bare.

I would like $350 shipped. Payment through Paypal.

Pictures available on request.

If you feel my price is off the mark, feel free to provide a counter offer.

Thanks for looking!

FS: Apple iMac "Core 2 Duo" 2.8 24-Inch (Early 2008) - As Is

2014-03-27 Thread P B
A friend sold me an iMac that I guess I just don't want to deal with
anymore. Here is what I know about it.

It has the Intel Core2Duo 2.8GHz CPU, 2GB of DDR2 RAM (2x1), Superdrive. It
is missing the hard drive, including the hard drive bracket. It is also
missing the screws to hold the LCD down as well as the screws for the body.
It is also missing the RAM access door.

I did boot up an install disc and I saw that the screen is bright and
doesn't appear to have any dead pixels or lines. It also connected to wifi
with no issues and I was able to bring up a web browser and surf the web.

I will sell this for $200 including UPS shipping. It will probably cost me
around $100 to ship it so please keep that in mind if you are wanting to
make an offer.

Thanks for looking. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Apple MacBook Mid-2007 Core 2 Duo 2.16 13" (Black)

2014-03-25 Thread P B
I have for sale a black macbook in immaculate condition with the following
specs:
CPU - Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz (T7400)
RAM - 2 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) installed in pairs (two 1 GB
modules)
Hard Drive - 120.0 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM)
Optical Drive - 8X dual-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperDrive

Connectivity includes AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
standard. Gigabit Ethernet, a FireWire "400" port, two USB 2.0 ports,
optical digital audio in/out, and video out capabilities (mini-DVI) that
supports an external display.

The top case was recently replaced so it looks brand new. For the rest of
the body, other than some scratches here and there, it looks almost brand
new.

Power cord will be included. There is no battery included. The previous
owner took out the guts of the battery and left the shell so there wasn't
an empty hole where the battery should go.

The machine runs Snow Leopard extremely well, but due to list rules, the
drive will be blank as I don't have the Tiger install discs that originally
came with the machine.

I would like $225 shipped. Payment through Paypal.

If you feel my price is off the mark, feel free to provide a counter offer.

WTB/WTT: DDR3 SODIMM for Macbook

2014-02-24 Thread P B
Hello swappers,
Ideally, I would like to trade a matched pair of Hynix PC3-12800 2GB sticks
(4GB total) pulled from my 2012 MBP for a matched pair of PC3-8500 2GB
sticks (4GB total). Some of the earlier macbooks that take DDR3 ram is
very particular about the speed of the RAM. All the machines I've put my
sticks in that aren't running at the higher bus speeds like my 2012 MBP
will have kernel panics or won't even boot. My sticks of RAM do work and
if you need proof, I can provide you some of it running in my MBP.

If you don't want to trade and have a set that you could sell, please let
me know the price. Shipping will be to Tuscola, TX 79562. Please also
send me a picture of the RAM showing that they are the PC3-8500 RAM.

Thanks for looking,

FS: Mac Mini G4 1.33 Late 2005

2014-02-24 Thread P B
I have for sale a Late 2005 Mac Mini G4 with 1.33 Ghz Power PC G4 CPU. It
had the RAM maxed out to 1GB. It has the Combo CDRW/DVD-ROM Drive, 40GB
hard drive, network port, 56.6k v.92 (internal) modem, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a
firewire (400) port, DVI out (with original DVI to VGA Adapter). It also
comes with the original 85W power brick. I have a keyboard and mouse, but
the scroll ball on the mouse doesn't work scrolling up, just down. I have
OSX Leopard running on there with no issues, but Tiger will be installed
per list requirements. If you'd rather me just wipe the drive, that can be
arranged as well.

Additional information about this model can be found here:
http://everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_mini/specs/mac_mini_g4_1.33.html

I will also include a Belkin Mac Mini USB 2.0 hub which provides 4 more USB
ports. It also has the same dimensions of the Mac Mini so they stack
together nicely. Here is a link to the out of stock item on
newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817394017. It
will come with the connector USB cable as well as the power cable. The
ones I saw on ebay didn't seem to have the power cable.

I am asking for $85 shipped or best offer. Paypal preferred.

Please email with any questions.

Thanks for looking!

FS: Apple TV 2

2014-02-04 Thread P B
Hello all,
I have for sale an Apple TV 2 that is running iOS 5.3 which has been
jailbroken untethered which means you don't have to hook it up to a
computer to start it up. You can run XBMC and many other apps on there that
make it a LOT more robust as a smart set top box. Of course, I can do a
clean restore if you would rather have the stock iOS on there.

You will get the Apple TV, Power Cord, Silver Remote, and HDMI cable.

These are selling on ebay for $300+. I would like $250 shipped. Please
make me an offer if you would like.

Thanks for looking,

FS / Feeler: Apple MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.3 13" (Mid-2013)

2014-01-24 Thread P B
I have a friend that is looking to sell his 1 month old Macbook Air. He got
it for Christmas, but said he doesn't use it. It has a protective case and
keyboard protector installed on it and he also has the original box to go
with it.

This is the current year model macbook air, but not the priciest one.
CPU: Core i5 1.3Ghz with turbo boost up to 2.6Ghz
RAM: 4GB
SSD: 128 GB
Screen: 13"
It also has 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, analog audio out, a
"Thunderbolt" port, two USB 3.0 ports, and an SDXC-capable SD card slot.

More detailed specs can be found here:
http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook-air/specs/macbook-air-core-i5-1.3-13-mid-2013-specs.html

I believe this model sells new for $1099. I also see ebay sells it on
average used for $900. How about $850 shipped UPS? Payment through paypal?

Feel free to make an offer if you think my number is off the mark.

Thanks for looking,

FS: Laptop RAM

2014-01-08 Thread P B
Hello Swappers,
I have for sale lots of different RAM for a wide variety of systems. Just
trying to clear out some old stuff I haven't been using for a while.

2 x 256MB DDR-333 PC-2700 Infineon Brand ($1)
2 x 256MB DDR2-533 PC2-4200 Samsung Brand ($3)
4 x 512MB DDR2-667 PC2-5300 Hynix Brand ($5)
2 x 1GB DDR2-667 PC2-5300 Mushkin Brand ($10)
2 x 2GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 Hynix Brand ($20)

They have all been tested and worked, but I do not guarantee compatibility.
I am selling these as is.

I prefer to ship USPS in a small flat rate box which costs about $6.
Please add that to your cost. We might could work out something else if
you want to buy one of the smaller items for me to ship 1st class.
However, if you buy the whole lot, I will sell it for $35 with the priority
mail shipping included.

If you think my prices are off the mark, please make me an offer.

Thanks for looking

WTB: Ipad 1st or 2nd Generation

2013-11-18 Thread P B
I still need to find one more ipad either 1st or 2nd generation. I am
interested mostly in ipads that have a good screen. No big scratches or
anything that would detract from viewing. Storage size really doesn't
matter. Don't really need cellular. Good battery life would be nice as
well. It's meant to store a few movies and to put some educational games
for the kiddos so I'm not going to be terribly picky.

Please send me what you have and what you want to get for it. Pictures will
also be helpful so I can gauge the condition. Shipping will be to Tuscola,
TX 79562. Payment will probably be paypal, but will entertain other
methods if absolutely necessary.

Thanks for looking and helping me out.

FS: 2009 Mac Mini (Price Reduced)

2013-10-16 Thread P B
I still have one early 2009 Mac Mini left. Model # MB463LL/A

Comes with power Brick and Mini DVI to VGA adapter

It has the Intel Core2Duo 2.0Ghz processor.
I upgraded the RAM to 2GB DDR3 (2 x 1GB) but it can be upgraded to 8GB
It has the stock 120GB Sata II Hard drive and 8x Superdrive dual layer
DVD/CD Burner

Of course it has all the usual stuff, Gigabit Network port, 802.11 a/g/b/n
wireless, firewire 800, and 5 usb 2.0 ports.

It has dual video outputs (mini-dvi and mini display) and can play 1080P
Video which can make an excellent media server with any of the options out
there such as XBMC or Plex.

Price has been reduced to $300. That price includes shipping CONUS.

I also have a couple of items that might make the mini a little nicer... I
have a retail Snow Leopard DVD 10.6.0. I also have a Dell 1909w 19"
widescreen monitor which has both VGA and DVI inputs and a USB hub built
in. I'd say $20 for Snow Leopard and $70 for the monitor (shipping
included).

If you think my prices are off the mark, please feel free to make me an
offer on any of the items I have to offer.

Thanks for looking, and feel free to ask any questions.

FS / Feller: Mid-2009 15.4" Macbook Pro 2.53 Ghz

2013-10-07 Thread P B
I am looking to sell a Mid-2009 Macbook Pro. It has a 2.53 Ghz Core2Duo
processor with 4GB of RAM and 250 GB hard drive. It has an 8X DL
"SuperDrive", a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256 MB of DDR3
SDRAM shared with main memory, integrated iSight, and an LED-backlit 15.4"
widescreen TFT active-matrix "glossy" display (1440x900 native
resolution).Connectivity includes AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n),
Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, a Firewire "800" port, two USB 2.0
ports, optical digital/analog audio in/out, a "Mini DisplayPort" that
supports an external display at 2560x1600, and an SD card slot.

It is in good condition and will come with the magsafe power cord. OSX
10.5 will be preinstalled or the drive will be wiped per your instruction.

I think it's worth around $600 shipped CONUS through UPS. If you think
that number isn't right, feel free to make me an offer... But please no low
ballers.

Thanks,

FS: Late 2009 Macbook Unibody with extras - $500 obo shipped

2013-07-23 Thread P B
Hello swappers,
I have for sale a late 2009 white macbook unibody model. It has a 2.26 Ghz
Core2Duo Processor with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. 250 GB hard drive. Everything runs
perfectly on this. I currently have installed Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and have
the original install media that goes with it. It will run Mountain Lion
just as smooth though. Also included is a 65W power adapter.

The other thing I've included is a cracked LCD assembly. The intention was
that I would replace the plastic casing on the one attached with this one
as the hinge cracks weren't as bad. Problem is, I didn't get around to it,
and now I've just gotten lazy so I will give you the option of doing it :)
If not, there are parts in there you can possibly salvage and resell such
as the webcam, clutch cover, etc.

Speaking of cracks. There are a few dings on this thing. There are the
hinge cracks on both sides on the display and there is also a crack on the
topcase. Last of all, there is a small ding in one corner. I will tell you
that everything is fully functional even though you have to push a little
harder on the trackpad than I prefer to.

Battery life is still amazing on it. At 100% charge, it shows over 7 hours
of available up time. Bottom case has been replaced recently so it still
looks like new. And the inside case has been cleaned of dust to keep
everything running smooth.

I've included pictures of everything in my google drive or dropbox...
whichever you prefer.
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4mgShhWFitZWURCUG8yaTZhdDQ&usp=sharing
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m12pbelvv0ec4s4/86_uM4ZebR

Last of all, I prefer to ship UPS. It will be sent with everything I have
mentioned, packed securely, and will be insured for the total selling
price.

If you feel that my dollar amount is off the mark, please feel free to tell
me what you think it's worth.

Thanks for looking!

FS: 2009 Mac Pro Quad Core 2.93 with upgrades

2013-06-02 Thread P B
FS: 2009 Mac Pro Quad Core 2.93 with the following specs:
* 2.93 GHz Xeon Quad (1 chip 4 Cores) This CPU supports "Hyper-Threading"
-- which allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core so Mac OS X
recognizes eight virtual cores on this model -- and "Turbo Boost" -- which
automatically boosts the processor speed based on workload
* 6GB DDR3 RAM (upgraded from the 3GB standard) This system can be upgraded
to 32GB without any issues
* 1TB Hard drive (upgraded from 640gb standard hard drive)
* Dual Superdrives (upgraded from a single superdrive)
* ATI Radeon HD 4870 with 512 MB of GDDR5 memory and dual dvi output
(upgraded from GeForce GT 120 with 512 MB of GDDR3)
* Airport Extreme a/b/g/n
* Wired Aluminum KB And Mighty Mouse

Additional specs can be found here:
http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-quad-core-2.93-early-2009-nehalem-specs.html

Overall condition is good, with some wear. All hardware has been verified
to function properly. The upgrades were performed at an apple store at
time of purchase. Drive will have Leopard installed per list rules unless
you prefer it to ship with a blank drive.

Even though there are several upgrades, there is still plenty of other
opportunities to upgrade it further. It's a beautiful machine, but it's a
little overkill for my needs. I'd rather see it used to it's full
potential.

Asking for $1200 OBO with shipping included to CONUS. If you feel my number
is off the mark, please feel free to make a counter offer.

Payment through PayPal only.

Everymac's website quotes the estimated current retail of the stock system
to be between $1700 and $1900. Mac2sell quotes the value to be $2480. So
this is a great deal at $1200!

Thanks for looking!

FS: Office for mac 2011 Home & Student - $60 shipped obo

2013-05-03 Thread P B
I recently bought a used macbook pro from a friend and they bought a retail
copy of Office 2011 for it. I don't plan on using it so it has been
uninstalled from my mac and should be good for you to use on your mac. It
is a boxed set with a DVD and a card with the product key on it.

It comes with Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.

I would like $60 shipped through paypal. Please feel free to make an offer
if you don't like my number. The worst I can say is no. :) I'm not sure
why you would want them, but if you want pictures, let me know, and I will
be glad to send some your way.

FS: Mid 2009 Macbook Pro 13" Core 2 Duo 2.26 4GB RAM - $550 shipped obo

2013-05-02 Thread P B
I upgraded to a new macbook pro, so my wife told me that I need to sell my
other one.

Here are the basic specs:
Intel Core2Duo 2.26Ghz processor
4GB DDR3 1333 ram - I will even throw in the original 2x1GB DDR3 ram that
came with it if you want it.
160 GB Hard drive
13" Screen with 1280x800 resolution
The "new" thing that this model introduced is the SD Card reader.
It has all the rest of the normal stuff such as airport extreme card,
superdrive, bluetooth, usb, firewire 800, etc...

You can read more about it here:
http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro
-core-2-duo-2.26-aluminum-13-mid-2009-sd-firewire-800-unibody-specs.html

There has been one repair on it. The sata cable for the hard drive needed
to be replaced. It has been running very smoothly ever since.
The battery holds a good charge.

Last of all, there is a very small ding in the right hand corner of the top
case. Otherwise, cosmetically it looks good. The screen is perfect.

It runs Mountain Lion like a champ. However, per list rules - I will have
Leopard installed on it when shipped.

I would like to get $550 shipped and insured with payment through paypal.

Please feel free to make an offer. The worst I can say is no. :) If you
want pictures, let me know, and I will be glad to send some your way.

FS: White 2008 MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.1 - 2GB DDR2 - 120GB HD - $250 shipped OBO

2013-03-29 Thread P B
For sale is a Macbook in good condition. There is some very minor chipping
on the case in a couple of locations, but no visible cracks. This is
probably the best looking physical condition macbook that I have come
across considering how prone they are to chipping and cracking. Screen is
good and everything runs smoothly. The battery says replace now, but there
are less than 100 charge cycles. So, my guess is something odd is going
on. Maybe a generous apple genius would replace it for free figuring they
are supposed to be good for 300 or more cycles. The nearest apple store for
me is 200 miles and it isn't worth the gas for me to find out. Also
included will be a magsafe 85W power adapter with the short plug. It works
for the most part, but every now and then if the cord gets jostled just so,
it may lose power. It seems odd though because the green light will stay
on. I have tried figuring out why or how, but I can't really recreate it.

The macbook has been upgraded to 2GB of DDR2 RAM so it can run OSX 10.7.5.
However, it will have Leopard installed per group rules unless you ask me
to leave it with a bare drive.
The other specs can be found here.
http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.1-white-13-early-2008-penryn-specs.html

Feel free to take a look at a few pictures

If you have any questions or need any other pictures, please let me know.
I will be happy to send you whatever you need.

If you want to buy it, paypal is the preferred payment method. $250
shipped or best offer.

I have for sale an ipod touch 2nd generation model with 16GB of storage and

upgrade for the unit. It is also capable of running whited00r 6 which
provides a lot of features of ios6 that aren't available with the stock
hardware. Everything works just like it is supposed to. I will ship it

I am looking for $70 shipped from USPS priority mail with payment from

FS / Feeler: Macbook Pro Late 2011 - 15" core i7 2.2ghz 4gb ram 500gb hard drive - $1200 shipped obo

2013-03-06 Thread P B
Hello all,
I have been asked to try to sell a macbook pro for a friend. $1200 shipped
sounds like a great deal. core i7 processor can run up to 8 threads
simultaneously and also has the turbo boost feature which can kick in a
little extra power if needed for a hungry application. It has 2 graphics
chips depending on what you need to do. Lots of great features!

It's a very nice machine. It looks and runs clean. It is barely over a
year old. If you want to read more about it, you can check out all the
details at this link:
http://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-i7-2.2-15-late-2011-unibody-thunderbolt-specs.html

Will come with Lion pre-installed.

He is trying to get as much as he can out of it to pay off some bills, so
please, no low ballers.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Paul Beckling

2013-03-01 Thread P B
I am in the market to upgrade my macbook to a newer model, but my wife says

FS / Feeler: Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66 with possible upgrades

2013-02-21 Thread P B
I have a friend wanting to get rid of an old intel mac mini... I thought I
would put some feelers out here in case somebody was looking for one.

Here is what I know.
It has an intel core duo 1.66 processor
It has 512MB DDR2 RAM (2 x 256)

Possibly has either 60 or 80 gb hard drive
Possibly has either superdrive or a dvd/cdrw combo drive.

It does not have a power supply at this time which is why I can't tell the
size or type of the drives listed above unless I pop open the case.

I was thinking of trying to upgrade a few items to make it more appealing.
I am just not sure if it's worth my time or money. So this is where the
feeler comes in.
I plan on purchasing a new OEM Power Supply.
I plan on upgrading the CPU to an intel T7200 Core2Duo 2.0Ghz processor.
I plan on upgrading the RAM to 2GB (2 x 1GB).

I think $350 shipped with all the upgrades sounds fair. But I am willing
to listen to offers for any configuration of what I listed above.

Please let me know what you think...

SWAP / FS: Mid-2011 Intel Core i5 Mac Mini

2012-10-09 Thread P B
I have a Mid-2011 Mac Mini Core i5 2.3 ghz with 4gb ddr3 ram, 500 gb hard
drive. It has hardly been used, and I just realized that I would prefer to
have a laptop rather than a desktop machine. I still have the original box,
the dvi monitor adapter, and the original stock 2x1gb ram. I also have a
Monster HDMI cable that I will include since it does have HDMI out. It also
has a thunderbolt / mini display port that you can output to any number of
other monitors, tvs, etc with the correct adapter. This machine originally
came with OSX Lion and it will be shipped with a clean install.

Specs of this machine can be found here:
http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_mini/specs/mac-mini-core-i5-2.3-mid-2011-specs.html

What I am looking for to trade for is a "newer" model macbook pro. I use
the term newer very lightly as I'm honestly looking for something that can
still run mountain lion and also has DDR3 RAM. I would like a 15" model,
but will also be willing to trade for a 13" model depending on what you
have. I believe the late 2008 models is the minimum that will work, but
will be happy for an early to mid 2009 model or newer as well. I may also
be interested in models that are missing a couple of parts like hard drive
or ram as long as it works once those parts have been replaced. Just let me
know what you have and see if we can come to a deal.

I think fair trade value would be something close to $600 or if you want to
purchase it, $600 obo.

Thanks for looking!

FS: Apple iMac "Core i5" 3.1 27-Inch (Mid-2011)

2012-03-06 Thread P B
For sale is a system that is in great condition. It's hardly been
used.
Core-i5 system with 3.1 Ghz processor. 4 cores.
4 GB RAM
1 TB Harddrive
DVDBurner Superdrive
FaceTime HD Camera
It comes with the wireless keyboard and multi-touch magic mouse.

There is a lot of power with this machine, but there is a lot more
that can be done with it. For example, the RAM can be upgraded to
32GB by using 4-8GB sticks of RAM. The CPU can be upgraded to a core-
i7. Brand new this machine retails for $1999.

I would like $1300 which includes shipping in the continental US. If
you feel that this pricing is high, please feel free to make your best
offer.

Thanks,

FS: 21.5" iMac Core i3 3.06Ghz Desktop (Fixer upper / For Parts)

2012-02-15 Thread P B
Up for sale is a 21.5" iMac Core i3 3.06Ghz Desktop system. This item
fell into my lap, and I just don't have the time to mess with it.

Some quick specs:
Core i3 3.06 GHZ Process (2 cores + Hyperthreading)
Can hold up to 16GB DDR3 RAM (Currently has none included)
Superdrive, iSight, Bluetooth - All of the normal stuff that comes
with an iMac.

Here's some of the things I've figured out while tinkering with it.
With RAM in it, the system will chime, but there is no output to the
main screen. I have not tried the external display.
The front glass shattered so there is nothing covering the screen. It
will work, but I think it would be better to get the glass. They
aren't too expensive on ebay.
The RAM and hard drive (including the hard drive bracket) were removed
before I received it. If you want a hard drive, you need to get a
seagate with the internal temperature sensor included. This is the
only type of hard drive that will work unless you find a different
sensor cable and tape it to the drive. There is information out there
about that.

One other thing that I can tell you is that the system is still under
the original warranty, and is also available for AppleCare protection
up until the middle of April 2012. Not sure if that will be worth it
since the person before me monkeyed with the insides already, but I
thought it was worth stating.

What you will get is the iMac and the power cord. This is all AS IS.
I can't guarantee that anything else works on the inside, but the
system does chime and the fans all spin.

I would like $150 which includes shipping in the continental US.

Please let me know.

Thanks!
