Re: Im out of the hospital and feeling better
Thanks to all who supported me! Feeling better, passed the stone, the other ones will get pulverized by ultrasound in the following week(s) so it wont be a crazy painful episode like this was! Also, knowing what the issue is, and having the proper ureter-relaxant and painkiller in stock, is a great relief! Again, thanks to all you Leonistas who sent me kinds words of sympathy - it really, really helped more than you would think!! Félix On Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 6:43:18 PM UTC-5 Edward K. It really helped me mentally to read your replies. I guess I may spend some time this weekend to make the leoserver more robust as the new find all made me find that I had to make sure the server's responses have to be checked (try/exception block) so that they are json-serializable. Leojs is coming along well, but ill take the next 2 or 3 weeks to make a new leointeg version, along with this fixed up leoserver to handle the new find-all behavior. I'll bring all that in leojs in the near future too. Thanks again to all my leonista friends!! Re: Im out of the hospital and feeling better
What I have found over the years (It's been 30 years since I had my first stone episode) is that from time to time I would get some of the symptoms - it's an unmistakable pattern except that so much time passes in between that I forget. When I realize I'm working up to another episode, I drink *lots and lots* of water. The symptoms generally clear up in a day to two. If you can manage it, I'd suggest trying to remember the sequence of onset of the various symptoms so you can recognize them early. For me. there were seven that showed up in a particular order. Number seven was that intense pain in the area around the kidneys, along with a feeling as if a football (an American oval-shaped one) were getting inflated there. That's when I had to go into the hospital. Since then, I sometimes got the first four symptoms before I recognized them and started pushing water. Well, this is pretty OT for a Leo group! But I'm glad you are feeling better. On Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 3:13:59 PM UTC-5 Félix wrote: > > Thank you so much for this Thomas. Re: Im out of the hospital and feeling better
I'm glad to hear you are home again. I've been in the hospital twice for a kidney stone, so I have an idea of what you've been going through. Once my stones made it to the bladder, I felt much better. Im out of the hospital and feeling better
It was a kidney stone between the kidney and the blader. Took a 3d scan to figure it out. Glad I now know what I have! Far from being top shape, at least I can somewhat function, eat and sleep!
