Allow the user to type the name of the file name he wants. Like the typeahead feature in a mobile, this feature should find the first file with matching string, starting from the top of the list. Note: In another suggestion, I have suggested that the list should be sortable. In this feature, LibreOffice should search the sorted list in top-down order for a match. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72645] LibreOffice Calc inconsitent results from GETPIVOTDATA
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72645 --- Comment #5 from Ceri Mitchell cmitch...@ad-holdings.co.uk --- Hi, thanks for the reply. Sorry I started looking at an issue with GETPIVOTDATA importing Pivot tables from Excel and found some other issues along the way, so I listed them all. LibreOffice 4.0.6 handles all of this OK, 4.2.x does not. I waited for the fix for bug 69518 before retesting and reporting. Here they are broken down: PivotTableLibreOffice.ods: 1. Cell A2, Different results returned by 4.0.6 and 4.2. You may be right with Bug 68666, not sure. 2. Cells A4 and A5 demonstrate that the second format of GETPIVOTDATA seems to be case sensitive. 3. Cell A10, Different handling of Target Value format with spaces at the end of the field item string. 4.2.x behaves differently to 4.0.6 PivotTableExcel.ods This is the bug I was looking for, which I think is with using GETPIVOTDATA with a Pivot Table created in Excel. Again it works OK in 4.0.6. When this spreadsheet is opened with 4.2.x none of the valid test GETPIVOTDATA examples work (A1 to A7,A10,A12,A17). Only cell A15 works and this is where I have inserted the text Sum of into the TargetField string. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67370 --- Comment #19 from Qubit qu...@runcibility.com --- (In reply to comment #18) I tried this an another online validator, and both are happy even with no ActualText at all, which makes me skeptic about their usefulness (unless PDF/A-1a does not actually require tagged PDF). It appears that PDF/A-1a does require a tagged PDF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF/A#PDF.2FA-1 PDF/A-1a includes all the requirements of PDF/A-1b and additionally requires: * document structure must be included (hierarchy) * Tagged PDF (use of alternative texts for images, tagging text spans and giving them an ID, replacement texts for symbols) ... And ActualText does sound very similar: http://webaim.org/discussion/mail_thread?thread=4817 From Adobe's Help for InDesign CS 5.5: PDF also supports actual text, in addition to Alt text. Actual text can be applied to graphic elements that visually look like text. For example, a scanned TIFF image. Actual text is used to represent words that were converted to artwork. Actual text is only applicable for tagged PDFs. Sooo... I'm not sure. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57330] : Link to external data does not work
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57330 --- Comment #4 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com --- Julien I think this can be resolved as a duplicate of one of the bugs I list. The main problem with this report is it contains multiple issues and is not as clear as the other bugs. As Eike Rathke has reported in: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54533#c5 Insert - Link to external data is not meant to work with CSV files or files of types other than spreadsheet or HTML files. In this sense case (1) is invalid or at least a duplicate of enhancement bug 35040. In terms of case (2) this is not clear: Create a list of simple comma separated numbers in a .xls file, for ex. E1.xls. If the file is in XLS format it is not comma separated and vice versa. It may be a reference (as indicated in comment #2) to LO not exporting the link correctly to the XLS format, in which case it is a duplicate of bug 48463. In terms of case (3) the data can be inserted / linked OK and initially re-opening the XLS the data is displayed as expected, but answering Yes to the This file contains links to other files. Should they be updated? query results in the message The link could not be updated. I tested this using this basic example: http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_tables ... under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running: - v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6 - v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a As I previously suggested, this would appear to be bug 63407. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72677] New: Hebrew letter position skewed in lines containing spaces
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72677 Priority: medium Bug ID: 72677 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Hebrew letter position skewed in lines containing spaces Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: shahar.ev...@gmail.com Hardware: x86 (IA32) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.3.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 90718 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90718action=edit See red line marking the page boundary and red squares marking shifted characters In recent versions (not sure but I believe after 4.0), writing Hebrew (RTL) on Mac shows a new bug which makes things almost unusable: When writing any text that has spaces in it, letters will shift right while writing by about half-a-letter once a space is added, which makes the text unreadable. After a second or so of idle time, or after moving to a new line, the letters adjust and will no longer be half-hidden be eachother but instead the whole line will be shifted to the right beyond the page boundary. I've tried this with several different fonts and did not seem to show any difference. Lines with no spaces in them seem to be fine, although that doesn't really cover any real text. To reproduce: 1. Create a new Writer document on Mac 2. Write some Hebrew text with spaces Screenshot demonstrating the problem is attached. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67370] PDF: Hyphenation not visible when text is exported as tagged PDF (applies to PDF/A-1 as well)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67370 --- Comment #20 from Khaled Hosny khaledho...@eglug.org --- The PDF specification is clear on that an automatically inserted hyphen should be mapped to a soft hyphen when tagged PDF is used. Older versions of the spec just suggest using the soft hyphen glyph, which is what we are doing now but it is does not work with our strict layout engine. Later versions of the spec suggest using ActualText which I’m trying to do now, but not sure if it it actually working. Those two validators (http://www.pdf-tools.com/pdf/validate-pdfa-online.aspx and http://www.validatepdfa.com/online.htm) seem to be happy even with just a regular ASCII hyphenminus, so I doubt they are actually checking the ActualText tags or even caring about the hyphen at all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59611] Use of personas
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59611 --- Comment #5 from Marc Pare m...@marcpare.com --- I still think that it would be best put in a more logical place where users would be able to find it. Even if it were put in the Tools-Customize. Actually, when using the FR interface, Customize was translated to Personalize which is even more appealing a place to put the personas tool. We need to make this fun and sexy tool more accessible to users so that they can start trading their personal fravorite personas with each other. I must say that now that I look at the EN interface, I am not so sure if the Customize word should be better changed to Personalize as that section is all about personalizing your LibreOffice to the way that you want it to work. I like the FR translation better. Frankly, we should even be talking about this more about the trading and people's favorite personas on the users lists so that we can create a culture of personas trading with our suite -- this make our suite really fun and sexy to use. I also tested it with inkscape. I workaround the problem converting all files to SVG, which does not have color problems. Testing again the odt file, it seems to be fixed. For example, my wife likes to have a choice of her own current textile fabric design. this is easy and fun with Firefox / Thunderbird but need me to copy and rename files for LibO as it is not simple. Some companies are also careful about in-house themes being kept in-house. I do not know whether it would be simple to enhance your current support to add this feature, but I believe it would add to the fun of using Personas, and hence the human face of LibO. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67870] Writer doesn't remember page width scale in .doc files
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67870 --- Comment #14 from Jean-Baptiste Faure jbf.fa...@sud-ouest.org --- According to comment#2 if zoom setting is not defined as a given percent value, it is not saved/loaded from/to doc. If I understand well, non numeric values like page width are not allowed in doc format. So it is not a bug and I will close this bug as NotABug. @Miklos : do you agree? Best regards.
