I tried to reproduce the bug in Windows 7 64-bit environment with LibreOffice
Version: 4.4.1.2.It worked fine.Did not prompted for a authentication.I can
make a suggestion.Sometimes it's asking Windows authentications if you're not

sc/qa/unit

This task is about improving the existing pattern around checkFormula in
sc/qa/unit/ucalc_formula.cxx

A typical piece of code looks like this:

if (!checkFormula(*m_pDoc, aPos, "SUM(A3:A7)"))
CPPUNIT_FAIL("Wrong formula!");

This should be changed to something like:

checkFormula(*m_pDoc, aPos, "SUM(A3:A7)", "Wrong formula!");

I had originally closed them, but when I opened a worksheet again, they

After this commit, the indicated chart updates after step 3, with no manual
recalculation required. LO 4.4.2.1 also works as expected.
I also tested a build of 5c3f47e44c2a734bddd0c3fb7f1151d5096ac494 as mentioned
in comment 10, and the chart updated as expected there too.

@vlb:
- Please check that you are testing with the version you think you are - all
other running copies of LibreOffice should be closed first. (The running
version can be checked with "Help – About")
- If that doesn't work, please try following the instructions in
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile
- If that still doesn't work, please feel free to reopen this bug, confirming
the latest exact version upon which you see an issue, the platform upon which
you see it, and the steps followed to reproduce the issue (if the same as in a
previous comment, just mentioning the comment number would be sufficient)

If I scroll through a document with the trackpad, and then, while the scroll is
still in motion, use Command S to save the file, I will cause the document
viewer to zoom, unintentionally. This does not occur in Microsoft Word (Command
S appears to cause the scrolling motion to stall, momentarily). It would be
great to see a similar feature added to LibreOffice, as well!

Current bahavior

When working with large mult-sheet workbooks, it would be useful to have the
functional wizard display a sample of the user selected content. This would
Allow the user to easily confirm that the function’s parameters are all

Do I understand it right that you want to have the toolbars back docked at the
top as per default?
In this case you can simple move it to the top by selecting it with the mouse
and moving it (you see the frame where it would be pasted).  Or you can make a
double left mouse click on the top line of the toolbar.   If you then close LO
and reopen it you have it docked at the top as per default.

Again, see  attachment 114390 for an example of how to use VLOOKUP for a case
sensitive search. While backwards compatibly, might be irrelevant to you, it's
an important feature for many of our users.  attachment 114390 produces the
same results in LibreOffice, WPS Sheets, Excel, Google Sheets, gnumeric, and
OpenOffice. 

If you can provide an example where LibreOffice's function is different than
all of the other spreadsheets on the market, it's a real bug that needs to be
fixed. Otherwise, we're not going to break backwards compatibility and
interoperability by changing a 20+ year old function because you don't like to
use it the way it was originally specified.

You’re seeing the grid, which allows you to snap objects into fixed points to
ease alignment – as you may notice, it corresponds with the ruler. The grid is
visible on-screen only, and it won’t affect export nor printing.

As the grid is not visible by default, I’m assuming you enabled it by mistake.
Go to Herramientas > Opciones > LibreOffice Writer > Cuadrícula > Cuadrícula
visible.

Hi, 

Ok now I return to the Start centre when I close the last document in LO and
only one single application is open in LO. The issue with me was that I was
working with several applications at the same time and everytime I closed the
last document say in Word, Word closed down. I guess from what you're saying,
this is not a bug then.

When LibreOffice Writer is launched afresh, any instance of the letter i is
automatically capitalized to I [please see screenshots 1 and 2]. However, when
a New OpenDocument Text.odt is created in Windows Explorer using right-click
menu, and this document is double-clicked to launch LibreOffice Writer, then an
instance of i is not automatically corrected to I [please see screenshots 3, 4
and 5]. This is annoying, since it makes me go back to Microsoft Word.

The referred example

1. I am using LO calc 4.4.1.2 kubuntu 14.04

2. Open the attached example

3. Now copy the sheet CoA before CoA (right clicking down on CoA and choosing
Move/copy, etc.)

4. Goto cell AF7.

5. Insert =Recolha.A788 in that cell.
It should display "CoB".

6. Now copy that cell *formula only* to all the gray area
(paste special and select formula only)

7. Now let's do another copy of CoA (NOT CoA_2) but this time to before sheet
"Recolha".
Right click CoA down tab, choose before "Recolha" and copy.
Calc crashes!!!

Skipping steps 4 and 5 the crash does not occur.

It's hard to reproduce. The probability greately increases with the size of the

SVG export missing the text

I've created a diagram in Draw with some text. When I export to SVG, a piece of
text is missing in the SVG. In my case, the text "Send regdomain info to kernel
via netlink" is dropped. In fact, from a quick text search, it doesn't seem to
even be in the SVG file at all.

The attached odg file shows my original draw file and the attached svg file
shows the result.

This is a long one.

Note:
Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> General -> Use LibreOffice dialogue boxes
was checked for these tests. If the OS dialogue is used then it's not until
after step 16 (first test below) that the flashing boxes happens.

1. Download images in comment 1.
2. Extract images to folder.
3. New Text Document.
4. Insert → Image.
5. Select 1.png, keep Link unchecked, Open.
6. Return a few times for spacing.
7. Insert → Image.
8. Select 14.png, check Link, Open, Keep Link.
9. Return a few times for spacing.
10. Insert → Image.
11. Select 15.png, check Link, Open, Keep Link.
12. Save, close, and reopen document.
Result:
Quick flash of boxes then images appear.
13. Close and reopen document.
Result:
First image shows okay but other images are flashing boxes.
14. Close LO and reopen.
Result:
Quick flash of boxes then images appear.
15. Click on first image.
16. Format → Image → Image tab and Cancel.
17. Close and reopen document.
Result:
First image shows okay but other images are flashing boxes.

Variation on a Theme:

Thanks for the help.

I went into ~/.config/libreoffice/4 and renamed "user" to "user-old", then
restarted Libreoffice.

All fixed and back to normal.

Find bar bug hilited.

When find pass EOF (down search) or BOF (up search) the alert overwrites the
find dialog causing it to freeze until the doc is saved.  Then, the drop-down
menu (recent searches) must be selected and a search hilited so a new search
term can be entered.

Current Issue:
-
Select a text anywhere within the document
Ctrl K -> Document -> the selected text disappears from the box "Text"

Target -> Target in Document -> Choose a slide number -> Apply -> Close -> OK

The slide number replaces the previously selected text, instead of inserting
the hyperlink "behind" the selected text like with an Internet hyperlink.

We have to insert the selected text again in the "text" box to avoid that
behavior.

Expected behavior:
-
Selecting "Document" after "ctrl K" should not remove the selected text from
the text box.

Same problem with 4.3.6.1-4.mga4 (Mageia 4, KDE), with a delay of about 130s
for opening or closing a document, or getting the "File" menu or the "Recent
Documents" item ready. But all the "Recent Documents" where available, 6 of
them trough NFS (I opened them one by one to check.), the other ones locally.
Clearing the list solved the issue. 130s for such frequent actions is not a
minor bug.

Hi,

I'm using LibreOffice 4.3.6.2 under Windows 7.

I've noticed that the beginning-of-sentence capitalization does not work
whenever there is an apostrophe in the game(ex: We're, They'll, Aren't, etc.).
Any thoughts on making that work?

File that looks ok on Windows but not on Linux

I have a document that was edited many times on Linux (Ubuntu 12 and now 14).

I had to give the document to a colleague to edit it on Windows and since then,
the file works ok  on Windows but on Linux the layout is completely broken. The
number of pages inflate from 90 to 150+ and there are lots of half broken pages
without header.

The file is attached (after I mangled the content).

Both Linux and Windows versions are 4.4.1.2

I can confirm with LO  4.4.1.2, win7

Works OK in excel 2010.
Error message in LO, when borders are deleted macro works.

Hi, I can confirm LibreOffice 4.4.1.2 has a ramdomness problem when generating
font names: AA+Arial, AB+Arial etc.

Can't confirm the other steps because I am not so pro user as the bug reporter.

A daily report computing hours, labor and equipment on a state highway project

The file is password-protected for "Protect Sheet."  The file displays computed
fields as blank cells on the monitor, but when printed, the computed fields in
the remainder of the column print an unwanted "0" in each cell.  Printer is a
Xerox WorkCentre 7220.

As at this point this bug is confirmed, but easily workarounded, I am marking
it as NEW and lowering its importance to lowest until more info is supplied to
verify why it should be higher.

The primary specification is the ODF at

If RangeLookup is FALSE or 0, DataSource does not need to be sorted and an
exact match is searched. Each value in the first column of DataSource is
examined in order (starting at the top) until its value matches Lookup. If no
value matches, the #N/A Error is returned.

... an *exact* match is searched, no ifs or buts.

Of lesser importance is any workaraound for this bug. Libreoffice should not be
acquiescing in bugs in Excel.

Hi Arnaud, maybe you can try this easier workaround: Format the first (or last)
paragraph of the section directly (or with a style) so the paragraph, and not a
text frame, has the desired border or margins. In the case of lateral borders,
you can create new paragraph styles based on the ones used on the previous
section with the left/right borders applied.

I am no coder, just an user which also hunts bugs, so what I will talk about is
by no means the position of the developers:

I guess this change allowing formatting of the sections could be implemented as
an extension to the ODF specification, as LibreOffice already does that for
other things (we can choose to save using the 1.1, 1.2 strict, 1.2 extended or
1.2 expanded formats), but... What really matters is it would make the document
appearance when reading or printing differ on other products, thus breaking
compatibility in an undesirable way. Also, sections are rarely used on
documents compared to paragraphs, tables, text frames, so the developers may
not prioritize this kind of change when there are other tasks needing
completion.

Maybe you could provide reasons why such workaround won't suffice?

Typing 5 and resulting in 0.21 is cause by "AutoInput".
If I write 5 and look at the cell before pressing Enter, I saw the suggestion
5:00.
Hitting enter accept the suggestion. (5 hours is 0.21 day)

Normaly "AutoInput" don't work with numeric values but only strings.
Here AutoInput suggest 5:00 because cell C14 (containing 5:00) is formatted as
text (@).

IMHO, this is not a bug.
I let this Unconfirmed for other opinion.
