[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96880] Slow page scrolling when an SVG object is in view
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96880 --- Comment #2 from LRN --- Noticed something very alarming: if i scroll down (sloo-o-owly) to the bottom of the page that has the SVG file in question, then click at the bottom to edit the page footer, LO will play the footer button appearance animation (where the blue "Footer (Default Style)" button will fade in). Normally it plays very fast, but in presence of that SVG file it takes a few seconds for each frame to be drawn. That is, LO, for some reason, does a *complete redraw of the whole SVG* every time any kind of redrawing is required. This is particularly unexpected. I thought LO cached drawable objects for performance reasons, i expected it only to re-render when changing zoom level or when editing the object itself. It's not like the SVG itself is animated and requires redrawing every N milliseconds... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96999] "Tools/Customize" panel should be resizable
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96999 --- Comment #4 from tommy27 --- hi Adolfo, I gently ask you to reconsider your decision. I'm aware of tooltips but they allow you to see the content of only 1 item at once and you have to precisely point your mouse over that item and wait for the item tooltip to appear. but when you have to rapidly inspect a lot of items (this happens me frequently when I want to check all the existing shortcuts to my macros... and those macro items are always out of bounds as you may see from the screenshot) this become time-consuming and frustrating. a simple horizontal and vertical resize to enlarge the panel would save me (and other users in my situation) a lot of time. I think that you did not consider this scenario when you disabled the resizing of the panel, so I gently ask to bring back the users this chance. I remember the same thing happened in the past with the autocorrect panel. Caolan made it resizable, you disabled it, but you reverted your change after considering there was a valid case to make it resizable, see Bug 67040. so please revert this one as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I'm not talking about disallowing ANYTHING that is currently allowed. I'm only talking about setting DEFAULTS for a new document, for future documents, or for the parts of the current document that haven't yet been touched (e.g. cells that haven't been applied a format or even entered a content). That is: you start creating a new document and you want all the defaults to be, let's say, in Italian. You should be able to set that in one place, not a dozen. You shouldn't go like "Ok, so now let's select a cell and format it as a number... wait a moment, why do all the options have a comma instead of a dot? Oh f**k, this is still in English, I have to set the locale too" and so on. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96337] FORMATTING: When numbering paragraphs, the numbers occasionnally forget their style (bold)

Reproduced by: going to page 341, placing cursor 10 characters after footnote 1726 and pressing Enter repeatedly. Only the paragraph number next to the cursor will be bold. Example: 1. Set your cursor to the described position, press Enter, paragraph number 762 appears in bold next to the cursor. 2. Press Enter again, paragraph number 763 is in bold next to the cursor, 762 has lost its formatting. 3. Press Enter yet again, paragraph number 764 is in bold next to the cursor, 763 has lost its formatting. Save as MathML. Or unzip the attached document and open the content.xml. Notice, that the semantics element has only the "annotation" child, but no real content. Compare it with int{{1 over x} dx} if you do not know, how it should look. In ODF the MathML has to contain the complete semantics, because consumers do not need to understand the content of the annotation. So not writing any MathML content is not acceptable. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96340 --- Comment #7 from Krotow --- (In reply to Krotow from comment #5) Posted about rendering in 5.0.4.2 and immediately found response, which claimed, that chart rendering issue is fixed in 5.1. Testing results for same chart with 2 data lines: 1) 100139 rows, both data columns has formula: - ODS document - rendering 10 sec, switch to editing - 25 sec, switch back - 10 sec - XLSX document (from Excel 2010) - rendering 25 sec, switch to editing - 45 sec 2) 100139 rows, data columns has values only: ODS document - rendering 6 sec, switch to editing - 10 sec, switch back - 4 sec 20K rows in both cases are rendered in 2-3 seconds. Charts under 10K rows are visible immediately. Such results are already usable for everyday use. I can conclude that problem is technically solved. One more thing - freeze on 2 seconds with grey rectangular smears over it when chart was partially closed by dialog window or another program at top of Calc window and then became fully visible.
