Can anyone recommend someone who can repair a door that has become off kilter
on the bottom and therefore will not close securely? Needs to be done with

[LincolnTalk] Copy of Boston Sunday Globe?

2024-07-17 Thread Dan Paul
Does anyone have a copy of Sunday’s Boston Globe that i could pick up before
you recycle it? It has a great picture of my granddaughter in a section on
girls’ track on PAGE S8.

I don’t need the whole paper…just that page would be great. (Her first name is
Gabrielle.)

Thanks!!

Re: [LincolnTalk] North Shore Hotel

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Salem, because the Hawthorne was

walk from everything, including the Hawthorne.

[LincolnTalk] Snow plow recommendations?

2022-09-30 Thread Dan Paul

Help!

The two people who were recommended to me for snow removal evidently don’t need
the business because neither will return my calls.

Without my revealing their names here, I’m hoping to get someone to plow our
driveway this winter. It won’t be long before the flakes are flyin’ and we’ll
be prisoners!

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

[LincolnTalk] Septic recommendation

2022-08-25 Thread Dan Paul
Hello Lincoln.
I got the name of Wind River Environmental from the LincolnTalk archive. I just
had them pump our septic system and want to add my hearty recommendation.
They did a fantastic job with clear, reliable communication both before and
during the job. I especially want to praise the person they sent. His name is
Barlendy and he provided me with great info on what he was doing and what we
need to do to keep the system in good shape. Anyone would be lucky to have him.
Three cheers for Wind River Environmental!

I agree. I’ve been there several times and it’s been closed for an hour. It’s

to eat lunch, but honestly It should be posted somewhere when they are closing
for an hour and a lot of people have only free time during the lunch hour to
run to the post office.

[LincolnTalk] FREE Toro snowblower

2022-05-09 Thread Dan Paul
I have a Toro snowblower to give away.
It’s an older model but no doubt will work well after a tune-up. I’ve printed
out an operator’s manual for the next owner which should be helpful.

You’ll probably need someone to help you load it…I can’t help lift anything.
Snowblower is in the driveway at 186 Bedford Road, two houses in from 2A.

[LincolnTalk] Toro 24” Snowblower — $99

2021-08-15 Thread Dan Paul
Haven’t used it since we got an excellent plow/landscape company to do it.
I tried it today and it started up but then conked out after running for 5-7
minutes.
It’s probably overdue for a tuneup, which I would advise doing. I downloaded an
owner manual which I will give to buyer.
Due to age and back-spine issues I can no longer pull the starter rope, nor can
I help lift it into your vehicle or truck, so please bring help when
purchasing. Thanks!

Re: [LincolnTalk] Success with Uber? Driver?

2021-08-02 Thread Dan Paul
We had a terrible experience with Uber.
We called a day ahead to order a ride from Lincoln to the airport. At 6 am the
following morning we were standing in our driveway with our luggage and no ride
showed up. We called and got a rude answer that somehow it was our fault for
reserving the ride too soon (or somesuch) and they had no one available to pick
up up. Luckily we got a taxi to come from Lexington and made our flight on
time. At twice the price, of course.
No more Uber for me!
