[LincolnTalk] 5 way closed down

2024-07-18 Thread Paula Robinson via Lincoln
Hi all,
If you’d like to save yourself some wasted time and aggravation, please avoid
the five way as it looks like there may have been some type of accident or
phone pole down. A lot of wires, large transformer type apparatus, etc. in the
road.

Police and fire have it blocked completely.

Best,

Paula Robinson

Re: [LincolnTalk] Black Bear Sighting ; animal control officer

2024-05-13 Thread Paula Robinson via Lincoln
All, It really doesn’t matter whether the image was AI produced (although it is not).  I originally posted a video of this EXACT bear stealing my bird feeder last week.  The video clearly shows the edge of my house and back yard.I’m disappointed some feel the need to be suspicious and suggest someone in town would waste their time creating an AI image.  What would be the benefit??Regards,Paula Robinson617.981.1945On May 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM, ROY HARVEY wrote:

Does Lincoln have an animal control dept? I don't see one on the Town website.

[LincolnTalk] Posting for a dear friend…

2023-09-09 Thread Paula Robinson via Lincoln

Hello LT,

I’d like to introduce you to Bella, a 6 year old terrier/dachshund mix.

Due to terminal illness and life changing circumstances I have to move into
assisted living and cannot take my Bella with me.

I’ve been trying to reach out to everyone I know to get out word that I need to
re-home Bella immediately and cannot I just cannot bear to surrender her to a
shelter.

This is really REALLY hard. 😢

Bella is a darling wire-haired terrier/dachshund mix. She's incredibly sweet
and affectionate (really, she's like a cat sometimes), but she can be quite
nervous and anxious around new people.

Since learning of my need to move into assisted living, I have had her working
with a dog trainer and I am very optimistic she's going to gain confidence and
be more comfortable with other people. She has responded quite well to clicker
training, and she's very food motivated!

In order to find her the perfect forever home, I can arrange to have her
dropped off anywhere in New England.

To give full disclosure, Bella has ONCE nipped a dog sitter: This was my
mistake as it was absolutely the wrong situation for her that I should have
NEVER put her in (a group of strange dogs and a new environment). Needless to
say the situation was very stressful for her.

I don’t know how she is with children, but as said, she is very anxious &
nervous in new situations. My thought is that she would be adopted by a person
or couple without children or empty nesters.

Similarly, I do not know how she would be with cats.

Bella is up to date with all vaccinations and is a happy and healthy companion.
She has had no trauma nor previous health issues.

I would appreciate anyone interested to contact my good friend here in Lincoln
via email at: linda.lame...@gmail.com

Thank you,

Paula Robinson

Re: [LincolnTalk] Support for refugee family

2022-10-22 Thread Paula Robinson via Lincoln
Hi Leah and Michael,

Hope you and the family are well.

Wondering if furniture is something the family is interested in? I have
several bed frames, a dresser, an upholstered armchair, etc.

If not, I’d like to make a monetary donation.

Please let me know.

Best regards,

I doubt we'll have to go that far, but we can do a lot with recovered

Re: [LincolnTalk] What bird is this?

2021-08-05 Thread Paula Robinson via Lincoln
Hi All - I agree with Rich and Bryce on the King. Additionally, Leslie, that
was my first thought when I saw the bird. I just heard a news report that in a
new study, bird experts believe the illness is not being spread bird to bird
and may be coming from birds that have ingested cicadas. There have been no
reported cases of this illness in New England where we obviously don’t have any
cicadas (this year).

Hoping this mystery is solved soon as I’m missing my songbirds…

Re: [LincolnTalk] A Fond Farewell

2021-07-20 Thread Paula Robinson via Lincoln

to have known them and their wonderful family. I wish the Osur-Gilbert’s a
warm farewell.
