Leland,

I haven't read the cookbook, but you really don't need to generate
the keys yourself. All you really need to do is delete all files
 beginning with ssh_host in /etc/ssh:

 rm /etc/ssh/ssh_host*

I didn't know that. This is a cleaner solution. I'll look at trying to
work it and document it. Thanks.

How do I add a tape drive to SUSE 10 SP1 for Bacula / ZVM tape mount Server/

2008-02-13 Thread Bruce Arro
Hi

I'm trying to define a tape drive to Linux so that I can add it to the
bacula-sd.conf file.

I presume this is just a file under the /dev dirctory

Do I do this with YAST?

This is going to interface the changer file and the Z/vm tape mount server

Regards

Bruce Arro

I've not done this before, so I'm not sure. Try ATTACHing the drive to the
guest, and then see if it shows up in /sys and in YaST. Unless you're willing
to dedicate the drive to the guest, there may be some configuration options you
need to specify (unknown to me at this point) so the system won't try to bring
it online at IPL time.

Look in contrib/vm in the Bacula source tree. You'll find all the
instructions (and the necessary integration tools) to use Bacula with VM
tape drives w/o dedicating the drive to the guest.
