That's a cool looking foot-forward design, but I'm not sure I like the front swingarm. Thanks, -- Shawn M. Please dont save or link these pages in other posts or forums yet!!! The site I currently posted the pics on compresses the photos. When I upload them on the Electricmotorcycles.net photo gallery this weekend, it should be easier to read and in larger print. Unless, you have a photo editor that has zoom. MAY 1967 CYCLE WORLD Tom Swift Rides Again: The Saga of Armer Electric Rollin Armer, a designer at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory at the University of California, demonstrates his electric motorcycle made from two batteries and a rewound starter motor. I am not partial to the EC-02, but this video is pretty funny. Found a vid from the Discovery channel in which the host tries out the EC-02. During the discussion, the battery is pulled out and shown. Pretty good demonstration of some of its features. http://www.exn.ca/dailyplanet/view.asp?date=1/31/2006 Ahrg! They're in that hideous ASX or whatever it is format. Several forklift and cart manufacturers have made electric motorcycles in their past. Early creators of the ParCar when made by the Marketeer Company. Re: [ElectricMotorcycles] some electric motorcycle articles and vids
Mike asked: You speak German, Doug? I studied it two years and had a german buddy in college in Florida. We both had 69 Mustangs and would spend the weekend wrenching on them. I helped him restore his BSA (don't remember which one, but a 250 single jug). We would also buzz around on his dad's Bimmer with me riding passenger. Great fun! His mom would cook these big german dinners on Sunday night and after the wine took effect, the conversations became bi-lingual. But, that was long ago and now I depend on Babelfish and Deutsche-Welle for accurate translations. I would call myself literate on a 2nd grade level. ;) -=Doug

Has anyone seen this article? I referring to this blurb on the Lectra forum: Hi Mike Just wondering if any of the group has seen the Jan 06 issue of Walnecks Classic Cycles magazine? It has an article on page 136 137 about a 1977 electric MC built by Transitron of Honulu, Hawaii. Doesn't look too practical but at least they were trying! thnx Iceman __ Yahoo!
