+1, except for the fact that the cheapest way to use Flattr is through

Donations via bank transfer?

I consider LyX to be a great tool.

I'd like to donate some money to the project. Is there any bank
account to wich I can do a wire transfer?
It would be good if this information was available in the website, as

Hello Angus,

I finally looked at the forum you point to and cannot see how this is
related... Could you elaborate on how we can fix the problem?

I tried to go to the paypal site and find out what HTML snippets are
recommended, but they seem to make this info intentionally difficult
to find...

On a realted topic, I have this strange bug with mozilla and firefox
that strings containing diacritical characters just do not display
(for example names of people in bugzilla.lyx.org) or Lars' name in the
present case. What is interested is that I can see the part of the
name without accents by selecting the blank string I have. It is
obviously an encoding problem of some sort, but I wonder whether it is
on my side.

Actually, is there a reason why firefox reports the LyX pages as
UTF-8, whereas they are typed in iso8859-1?

I have another problem: The ø is not shown at all in konqueror (encoding set

You do not need to do that if you specify the encoding. Otherwise, you must
only use 7 bit ASCII and use ø.

Uhoh. I forgot to tell everyone that it may be hard for me to make it in
Poland. I'm going there in February, and while it might be imagineable for me
to go there again in late 2005, I'd rather not to. I mean if people are
worked up for going to Poland then sure I can stand by my word, but if there
are other equally good places then I'd rather see the meeting take place in
another equally good place :).

Heck, if you are all very very worked up for going to Poland *and* are willing
to find cheap online fares (that I could afford [TM] :) from Columbus, OH
(CMH) to Poznan, PL (POZ) sometime late 2005, then why not. Will make my life
easier, or rather my wife's. I bet she likes spending time with our now
6-month daughter rather than hunting fares online.

I doubt there will be anything reasonable in the summer, and I want to have a
vacation here in the U.S. this summer anyway. Maybe October would be good.
Then I could go there for a say 7 days and make it happen. Anyway as soon as
I have the tickets the decision will be final, given a blessing from my
wife ;]

Maybe i just need some cheerleading, I don't know. I'm lazy towards anything
"non-critical" these days. That's what sleeping 5-6 hours a day everyday
makes you :)

PayPal account opened for donations

2005-01-12 Thread Lars Gullik Bjønnes

The address is: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
