Lyx on Solaris 2.6
Hi, I'm trying to install/run Lyx on Solaris 2.6. Sources compile w/o errors, and I'm able to start Lyx and get the splash screen, view online help. But when I try to export to Latex an empty .tex file is created. If I try to view th .dvi or .ps file directly from the Lyx "File" menu, Lyx seems to go into an inifinite loop. The same behavior happens with version 1.01 and 1.03 of Lyx. Any suggestions as to what is wrong here? -- --- David F. Theorems and Conjectures
I am writing a technical paper that will have some theorems and conjectures in it. I like the standard "article" style the best, and would like to use it. But it does not support Lyx friendly Theorems and Conjectures by default. I can force it with latex parts, but it won't be WSIWYM. On the other hand, I don't like the style of "amsart" articles. But they support standard theorem and conjectures styles. I've tried editing the premable to make this style look like the standard "article", but there are many things to change. Does anybody have a standard "article" type style that includes Lyx style theorems? Is it easy to add these things to Lyx. I know how to add them to latex. Or does anybody have a style file that makes "amsart" look like "article"? Thanks for your help. -Henry Pfister
Re: First Line Indentation
Herbert, Thanks for your response, but that didn't work. The "indent" radiobutton was already selected. No matter which one I select, I get the exact same output. Default Background Color
Hello, One used to be able to select the default background color with teh commandline option of -BackgroundColor --- what happened to this option in version 1.0*? If I am willing to recompile lyx, what changes should I make to get this option working again? I am working on RedHat 5.2 on a Pentium mmx. Thanks for any help.
