Thank you very much, I got the point!

\renewcommand\labelenumi{\alph{enumi}.}
\renewcommand\labelenumii{\roman{enumii}.}
\renewcommand\labelenumiii{\roman{enumiii}.},

made the Job.

Did not find this in the User Gidd, although this must be
a very common probelm. Could this issue be included there??

header spacing

2000-10-18 Thread Jürgen Spitzmüller

Hello again,

Sorry, but I have another LaTex related question.

I'm writing a document with onehalf spacing. But to me, the headings
(chapter, section etc.) don't look very nice this way. So I want to set
them to single spacing. At the moment, I'm using the setspace commands
to do this:

   \singlespacing
   1. Chapter one
   \onehalfspacing
   blabla...

This is a little bit uncomfortable :-)
Is there a way to set this in the preamble?

I'm using KOMA-book.

Thanks again,

Juergen.

exporting paths

2000-10-18 Thread ben

Hello,

I try yo use \custom_export_command. My problem is that the output file
is written in a temporary directory. Is it possible to specify where to
write the output, and if not at least to have by some parameter the
original lyx document path?

I remember that such questions have been asked before, but I haven't
seen (or I've forgotten) answers about it...

Can anyone help me?

This is a comment for anyone who wants to take notice (hint hint, you

at the end of a line I cannot place my cursor after the footnote using my
mouse, without opening the footnote window. I have to use my arrow keys to get
my cursor there. Nor can I select such a line to delete it, without the same
thing happening. I have to use .

I hope that's clear. And in case I am griping about something which is fixable,
please let me know how.

Yes, you have to describe all the possible types of paragraphs in the
class. That's what the Input does.

Then you can add the missing parts and do the customizations after

Yesterday I asked about using the Kluwer company's kbk.cls with lyx.
Christian pointed me in the right direction. There is one part I don't
understand about it. If I could use just a bit more of your patience:

Here is my problem. kbk.cls is a big, long confusing file and I don't
understand all the stuff in there! I'm looking at the Kluwer sample
document trying to figure out which TeX markup refers to general LaTeX
things and which are specific to the kbk.cls file. It is puzzling, for
sure. I don't think I could ever feel confident that all elements of
the kbk.cls had been entered into the layout file I create.

So what are my options? I need to understand where lyx's layout file
separates in function from the kbk.cls file. It is a bit discouraging
to me.

What is the absolute minimum needed for a workable layout file? I tried
a "skeleton" layout file:

#% Do not delete the line below; configure depends on this
#  \DeclareLaTeXClass[kbk,kbkps.sty]{book (kbk)}
Preamble
  \usepackage{kbkps}
EndPreamble

Lyx finds the document type, but it cannot use it. The error is
"Conversion errors! unable to switch to new document class". So I'm
missing at least one fundamental element.

But once I find the minimum layout file, won't I be able to generate
documents that match the kbk.cls information? I understand the "on
screen" appearance of LyX will not be accurage because I may not have
not defined fonts in the layout file. I will not have "point and
click" access to any special environments that exist in kbk.cls. If
there are special things to be inserted, I have to use ERT. OK.

But won't the dvi and postscript output be true to the kbk.ps?

enumeration depth

2000-10-18 Thread Staffan Ringbom

Hi,
The default enumeration style in lyx is
[(1)], [(a)],, [(i)] "number, letter, i" something like this

1.
   a
i
b
 i
 ii
2.

Would like to skip the first level and get directly to the second enumeration depth as
default.

Is there any quick fix (in the LaTeX preamble)??

(The nasty way to do it is to export the file as Latex and force the
enumeration with \begin{enumerate} [(a)])
It would be more productive to do it directly from LyX. Any suggestions?

Staffan.
