Combining .lyx files
Are there any gotcha's when importing a KOMA-Article .lyx file into a KOMA-Book .lyx file? The preambles are different and I would like to do this correctly the first time. Rich

Paul, I deleted most of the book after the introduction and the deleted part contained the warnings. Now the Preface and Introduction are free of warnings. There must have been something other than the directly indicated cause that generated the warnings. As I write I'll check and if there's a non-obvious issue I'll create a MWE and post it. Thanks, Rich

Or, and the CWA. produces ChkTeX warning 13: "Intersentence spacing ('\@') should perhaps be used. This is the end of the paragraph. This is my first use of ChkTeX so perhaps I just don't know enough to make it happy by removing the warnings. Jürgen, I thought I had written of my desire to learn how to create the equivalent chapter headings using KOMA-Script as provided by fncychap. When I read about \chapterformat in the English translation of the book I found how to change the number of lines in the chapter heading (1 or 2), the numbering scheme, and use (or not) of a prefix line. I'm not enough of a LaTeX-pert to see how to use these to make a fancier chapter title than the default. I do have fncychap working and I'm back to focusing on the book's content. Best regards, Rich
Cedilla problem: there and back (solved) again
Hello, Last week I had noticed that the long-standing cedilla problem, solved 2 years ago, had come back. The problem is (was) that the '+c sequence in US-intl keyboard resulted in accented c instead of cedilla c in QT apps like LyX. I don't know how to link to a very old thread, I don't want to revive it either, so I repost for reference the link that allowed me to solve the problem once again: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus/+bug/518056 It's the same link as 2 years ago, except that this time only the solution described in post #39 worked. Hope it works for at least three years this time! -- Daniel CLEMENT
