It will require me to create a new environment which I was hoping to avoid. I have tried and can create the new environment successfully, however, it looks ugly with all the ERT I have to use. Perhaps, I can create the new environment in a local layout. I have written a local layout for an itemized list before. How would it differ from a description list? I have attached a file below which contains my local layout. But my skills are not yet up to that. I have a solution below that is workable. However, I have done a little more exploring with the description options (right-clicking or Alt A 1). Not all of them seem to work as they should. In particular, the options which require a \command don't seem to work. Am I missing something? Anthony Can you post an MWE of a command that you don't think is working as expected? Paul Hi Paul, I have attached an MWE and its output. I think that I do not have a full grasp of the options and their correct use. To use a \command inside description, do I need to use it only in \setlist in my Preamble. Nested decription lists
Dear LyX users, I am nesting description lists and want to justify the text within the nested list. I have attached my MWE, output and a copy of what I want the output to look like. I am using the module "Customisable Lists (enumitem)." with the article class. When I right click on the description label, an options box is produced. However, the options to go in the box (I get the options from the enumitem package) are not producing the desired effect. Unwanted spacing in Table of Contents
Dear All, I have attached my LyX file and its pdf output. For some reason, the spacing between sections and subsections in my table of contents is very large. In fact, it appears that the items in the TOC are being distributed evenly over the length of the page. I am running Lyx 2.3.5.2 on Windows 10 on a Surface Pro. Any help is much appreciated. Adding an environment to the drop down menu
Dear LyX users, I have created a new environment by adding the following to my preamble. \newcounter{YourTurn}[section] \newenvironment{YourTurn}[1][]{\refstepcounter{YourTurn}\par\medskip \noindent \color{green}\textbf{Your Turn ~\theYourTurn. #1} \rmfamily\color{black}}{\medskip} I would like to add this environment to the drop down list in the menu. I know I have to edit a .layout file, but I am unsure as to what to do. Problem installing LyX
Firstly, thanks for a great product. I have recently tried to update to the latest version of LyX. De-activating branches in Lyx
Dear Lyx-Users, I have several branches in my LyX document. I know hos to activate/deactivate the branches one at a time but I would like to be able to turn them all on at once or all off at once. Is there a way to do this? Kind Regards, Anthony
