RE: Wordprocessor with extensive keyboard commands.

2013-08-13 Thread David Griffith
Agree about multiple format styles but there is inbuilt voiceover
flexibility in relation to using user definable keystrokes using Keyboard
commander so this is not in my view, really such an issue. You can define
necessary keystrokes through this commander or indeed numpad commander if
you have an extended keyboard.

Hi Jim, those are all standard text editing keystrokes you mentioned.
TextEdit will do that's fine. However, it doesn't have a user definable
keyboard shortcuts section and he can't really do styles.
There's a good Podcasts on Apple this by David Woodbridge about text editing
it lists all those text editing commands by line, bye paragraph, by
sentence etc.

And does anyone know of a good word processor that has a large user

Andy,

Strange!

No, it's no real big deal but I do have a number of mail boxes and typing in iC

I am doubtful that I can make a shortcut also but thought I'd ask anyway.

Assuming you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, one way to accomplish this is
to use Mail's Favorites Bar. Mailbox Aliases that are placed in the Favorites

Here are the steps to follow.

 1. Toggle on the Favorites Bar either through the View menu or by pressing
 Command+Shift+Option+H.
 2. Interact with the Favorites Bar and navigate through it to see if the
desired mailbox is already there. If it is there, skip ahead to item 4 below.
 3. If the desired mailbox is not present in the Favorites Bar, use drag and
drop to copy an alias of the desired mailbox from the Mailbox list onto the
Favorites Bar. For this task I've had better luck using the mouse down,
mouse up method of drag and drop rather than the VO+, VO+. method.
 4. Once the desired mailbox is present in your Favorites Bar, you can press
Command+the corresponding number for the desired mailbox, where the mailboxes
are numbered from 1 through 9 from left to right. This shortcut key will work
even if the Favorites Bar is hidden.

Carol - Seems like you can make a short cut, so hope it works for you.
Regarding the use of VO left arrow; if you are in the messages table, stop
interacting, then with VO left arrow, if your set up is the same as mine, you
should hear: vertical splitter, and left again to mail boxes table, then hit
the first letter for your desired mail box, then all you have to do is a couple
of quick VO and right arrow, past that vertical splitter, to your messages
table. Just another way, it works for me -

2013-08-13 Thread Sarah k Alawami
Ok. yeah i thought it was just me. This seems to be a bug that has been long
standing since snl, or for me, the last 3 years of using a mac. Hope someone
would be able to hep as this is odd.

Question about MySXM in the SiriusXM App

2013-08-13 Thread Orin
Hi all,
Just tried this feature of SiriusXM using the app on iOS and setting options
seems relotively accessible. However, how do I change it?
For example, I set some options up on Outlaw Country and while it's nice, it
won't let me change it again. Pressing MySXM only just sets the options I've
already set. Can you really not change the options and sliders again to
something different? I like to experiment with these sliders.
Thanks anyone.
