Hi Daniela, I agree new keynote is a revelation. One thing that is interesting is the fact that when in Slideshow mode, the text content appears in ‘edit’ fields. Wonder why they did that. Re: YoruFukuru help
Hi Dane, Sarah, Thanks for the info on how to find and follow a user Dane. Sarah great, I'll have a listen to those podcasts. I subscribe to tffp in my pod catcher Icatcher but just had a look through episodes not downloaded and the ones you link to don't seem to be listed. Wonder if I need to look back further or maybe you had a different feed address before... The next difficulty I'm having is trying to look at older tweets than the ones currently being displayed. Need to go back over the last few days and they're not displayed in the table. Went to preferences and told it to display 800 tweets but it doesn't seem to have done this. In an attempt to find help on this went into the help menu. Always struggle with help menus on the Mac, VO normally says search results interactive and I then can't get anything spoken and normally give up and press escape. This time I thought, since it was described as search results interactive, I'll try typing something in there. So typed older meaning to search help for older, pressed Enter, upon which I sent out a tweet just saying older. How embarrassing. Maybe people will think it's my birthday? lol Will have a listen to the podcasts next anyway... Hello Caitlyn, VO-j does not open the message. The message is already open as soon as you navigate to it using VO. You cannot pass over a message without it being marked as read as long as the preview pane is active. I don’t know whether getting rid of the preview pane makes it easier to read with Braille. Re: reading books on the mac with Ibooks.
Hello Stuart, I’m no expert with iBooks, but this is how I make it work for me. When I open iBooks, I’m on Library list where I can interact and select a book. I press Cmd-o and the book opens. This is where it gets complicated. When you first open a book, it will open at the beginning. You have to find the scroll area and interact with HTML content. VO-a will read continuously through one chapter. There is a Next Chapter command, but it doesn’t seem to work. I can display the chapter I want by pressing Cmd-t to show the Table of contents, then turning cursor tracking off and interacting with the table. I navigate to the place I want, bring the mouse (VO-Cmd-F5), do a VO-Shift-Space and turn cursor tracking back on. I then locate the scroll area and interact with each HTML content area until I find the right one. Every time I select another chapter, it seems to add it to the number of HTML areas displayed. Do I need to reset the display in maverick?
I have noticed in a few apps and windows, that maverick or voice over doesn’t seem to see the window properly. For instance, in mail, when I arrow from message to message, it says blank and then reads the message and, when I am in app store it says, that the app store has no windows, but it still reads what is there. Is there something I need to reset to make it see everything the way it used to? accessible app to watch the Olympics
Hello y'all, Is there an accessible app we can watch the Olympics with? I tried the NBC app, but couldn't get it. My cable service, which is Cox, has an app called Cox Connect, but it's less than accessible with VoiceOver. Is there anything we can do about this? What's happening here is that my 91-year-old friend suddenly decides to take up residence in the living room and then if I want to hear the Olympics until the broadcasts are over, well, say until one or two in the morning, I can't because she is hassled by me doing this. So, I'm needing an app. Thanks in advance, Brenda mailto:meadowlar...@cox.net --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html or at the public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/. When you have your slides complete, you can add transitions in each slide. When you add a transition, you will add it on the slide which will start with it. So, select the slide for which you want the transition in the slide browser. 2. stop interacting with all and go to the toolbar, then check the Animate Checkbox. 3. Go to the formatting tool and you will be placed at an Animate pane, where you have to locate the Add transition button. 4. When you select the transition you want, bo to the transition formatting tool, and there you can adjust the duration and if you want them to occur automatically. I would leave it as it is, so you pass the slides as you wish. 5. You stop interacting with all and you are done. VoiceOver doesn’t speak if a slide has a transition or not, but if it does and by mistake you want to put it again, you will find a Change button instead of the add transition button.
