Re: Can't open the iTunes store from my iPhone 5

2013-10-02 Thread Phil Halton
I have no agenda here, I just want complete information. It occurs to me after
reading this thread that a lack of precision and attention to details make us
ineffective communicators, and so, less helpful on this list than we might
otherwise be. A little thought as to what we are trying to say before firing
off the message can make a big difference on how it is received. We're all
blind here. We have to play guessing games all day long in the world at large.
Why bring that same degree of confusion here, where we all come to get a little
help?

 Andy,

The missing piece of the puzzle is the address of the website you are
loading before you start swiping past ipad, ipod, iphone, etc. I've
paraphrased your instructions in steps 1 and 3 below and inserted a "Step
2" Where I'm hoping you might take a moment to tell us which web address
 Safari is loading.

Step 1: Tap Safari on your phone.
Step 2: Go to website ABC.DEF
Step 3: Swipe past the first few links for iPad, Ipod and Iphone, and the
next one will be iTunes, double tap it.

 Thank you,

Re: Can't open the iTunes store from my iPhone 5

2013-10-02 Thread Sarah k Alawami
Don't think that would work if the iTunes app is crashing on some people trying
to launch it fem siri would not work as it would probably just crash. What I
would do is try restoring your phone to new, keeping a back up so you can later
restore to that, then try launching the iTunes store from the app icon. If that
does not work, then we have bigger problems. I'd try calling apple and
reporting this, or taking it down to the apple store so they can take a look.

Good luck.

I would guess that they aren't aware what Safari is by the previous responses.
Could it in fact be the apple page? Perhaps this was suggested but I couldn't
go that far back through the thread.

Re: Can't open the iTunes store from my iPhone 5

2013-10-01 Thread Phil Halton
Andy, as you know, Safari is a web browser. My Safari web browser is set my own
blog there are no links for iPad iPod etc. Can you tell me at what website this
should be done? It can be much simpler if you will tell me the correct details.
What website are you on when you do this?

Why should we have two rely on clues, when you can just give the

Its irrelevant now anyway. I did a restore and that fixed the problem.

It's the Apple website. It opens there by default when I tap Safari. Maybe
others have different websites loading when they tap on Safari, but maybe
swiping past iPad Ipod Iphone to iTuens give a bit of a clue? -

2013-10-01 Thread Bryan Jones
Andy,

The missing piece of the puzzle is the address of the website you are loading
before you start swiping past ipad, ipod, iphone, etc. I've paraphrased your
instructions in steps 1 and 3 below and inserted a "Step 2" Where I'm hoping
you might take a moment to tell us which web address Safari is loading.

Step 1: Tap Safari on your phone.
Step 2: Go to website ABC.DEF
Step 3: Swipe past the first few links for iPad, Ipod and Iphone, and the next
one will be iTunes, double tap it.

Thank you,
Bryan

I can't tell you anything more. It's very strait forward if you follow what I

Tap Safari on your phone, and then just swipe past the first few links for
iPad, Ipod and Iphone, and the next one will be iTunes, double tap it. It

Yes, I've tried that. I have now got in to the store, but had to go the Safari
route, but having done that, I can now click the iTuen store icon and get in
