Hello Frank,

FN-Up Arrow or down arrow is purely visual and does not work for VO users. It
does not move the insertion point, mouse pointer or VO cursor. That's why we
have to use the VO command VO-FN-Up or Down Arrow.

Cheers,

Anne

Re: Shortcut key for page up

2014-02-15 Thread Anne Robertson
Hello Chris,

With Wrap to Page set, the text is displayed one page at a time with a fixed
width and height. You can look in TextEdit preferences to see how many
characters wide a page is, and how many lines long. If you press Cmd-Shift-p,
you can see which paper size is being used.

Wrap to window allows the displayed text to be as wide as the window and the
text scrolls down as you go through it. This is probably why Page down and page
up don’t work when wrap to window is set.

Cheers,

Anne

Changing between Wrap to page and Wrap to window is quick anyway, it’s just

Hello Margaret,

The VO command for Page up or Page down is VO-FN-Up arrow or down arrow.
You must be interacting with the text for this to work and you need to
have TextEdit set to Wrap to page. Unfortunately, with Wrap to page set,
the normal arrow keys without the VO keys no longer work after the first
page of a document. You can still navigate using the VO keys and all the
VO navigation commands which you can find by pressing VO-h-h and looking
in the Navigation and Text menus.

Cheers,

Anne
