Hi, no that is not true sorry. There is a check box on the sign in screen that
when checked keeps you logged in if you shut down the app it will still
remember your stuff for the next time you are opening the app it will auto log
in.

2014-03-25 Thread Eleanor Burke
When did you do it last? I know there is such a check box in Windows and
iOS iPhone. How do you get to that check box please using the keyboard?
Would you be good enough to try it out for me please?

Sign in screen to remember your password and stuff. Or at least there was
the last time I did it.

95 percent of the concepts will stay the same as skype 6 looks
almost like skype 5. the only difference will be the grid that's
shown. in skype 6. the concept will how ever remain the same.

You can hit cmd shift h on the call, or failing that as sometimes it will fail,
go to the current calls section of the table, and vo shift m on the call and
hang up, or quit skype. lol!

Take care.

side bar table then interact with the side bar with vo shift down arrow or
control option shift down arrow. Next vo right arrow until you get past the
current calls window then right next to it there will be the message window
with the list of people in the call with you then stop interacting with the
table with vo shift up arrow or control option shift up arrow. Then vo right
arrow or control option right arrow to the edit field to type the message. To
accept a contact request from a contact first vo left arrow or control option
left arrow to the side bar table and interact with it. Next vo right arrow
until you see recent then right past that voiceover will say the contact that
wants to add you and mist event at that that point stop interacting with the
table with vo shift uparrow that is control option shift up arrow. Next vo

Okay!!! I did understand that the keystroke you posted was for hanging up
calls. It seemed like you were a more experienced user of Skype on the Mac that
you could share a listing of keystrokes (if there was one) to those who are
newbies in using Skyfe on the Mac. I didn't think my last post on this thread
was asking anything out of line. So, I pose this question again, Do you know or
have a listing of the hot key shortcuts that one can use with Skype on the Mac?
If one exists, where can one find it? It would be nice not to reinghent the
wheel if one exists.

Thanks.

Hi Isaac,

Since you posted the VO or maybe it's an OS keystoke, is there a listing of
keystroke list for all of them for skyp and where can one find the list of
them? I guess I could open all of the individual menus and make my own list of

reinventing the wheel.

Thanks.

h, I did that and it only described my current window. When I turn keyboard
help on and hit control option f2 twice quickly, it just says that it describes
the current window. Am I doing it wrong? Or is it meant just to describe the
window open. Sorry, I'm just a little confused.

Re: Skype on the mac, question

2013-12-18 Thread Dane Trethowan
Each new chat or call by default opens in its own window.

You can use the Window Chooser of Voiceover to move through these windows, the
Window Chooser is activated by pressing Ctrl-Option-F2 twice then use the
cursor keys to move through the open Windows of Skype, when you find the one
you want press the return key.

Note that Voiceover will tell you which is the current window etc.

Not exactly, but you can press the command plus option plus you're either left

Skype on the mac, question

2013-12-18 Thread Laurel and Stockard
Hey guys,
I use skype a lot and have a question. I know for sighted people, there's a way
to make each skype chat conversation open in a new window. Is there a way to do
this with voiceover, so I can just tab, or command tab, my way through may chat
windows with skype? I think it would be easier if there were a way to have a
new window for each of my chats, rather than using the side bar, because
sometimes I've got like 5 or 6 separate conversations going and it can be hard
to keep up with them all.
Thanks

Re: Skype on the Mac

2013-08-26 Thread Mike Arrigo
It's very accessible. The one thing I did was to set lots of the
notifications to speak and you can do that in the skype preferences.
This will allow the program to tell you things such as when people sign
in and out and when you get messages.

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts for Skype on the Mac

2012-02-05 Thread Sarah Alawami
Actually they work just fine. I find I don't need many keyboard shortcuts as I
can assign them myself through the prefs and customize the way I want skype to
be.. I could even if i wanted to change the cmd shift h to something else. So
just because skype does not have all of these fancy stuff for navigation does
not mean it is not accessible. I use this all the time for communicating with
family and friends and clients when the time comes.

Take care.

Hi, All! That's exactly what I was looking for. Too bad Skype's so

social networking tools we want to use work sort of haphazardly or

2012-02-04 Thread matthew Dyer
Hi,

To hang up is command shift h. If you want to call someone in particular just
start typing a name in the contact list and it will start a search and then do
a vo shift m and select call and press enter.

I gave the link in an earlier post to clisk. htp://dlee.org/skype and click on
the clisk link. YOu will see something about command line interface for skype.
I'm not sure if you can type the name of a skype id that is not in your
contacts to call. If you can I have not found a way to do this.

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts for Skype on the Mac

2012-02-04 Thread Matthew Chao
Hi, Sarah. No, didn't see the Shift-command-h for hang-up. However, thanks.
Also, is there a way I can type in a person's Skype name in Skype directly?

Matthew Chao

P.S. What' the link for that command-line file? Sorry for all the questions,
but I am lucky if I have time to get on my Mac once a week due to work. Can't
bring my Mac there.

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts for Skype on the Mac

2012-02-04 Thread Matthew Chao
Hi, Sarah. How do I use the menus, say, to call a person as compared to using
the Dialpad button? For example, I have a Skype name I want to contact, but
can't find the edit box in which to type in his name and hit Enter. Also, how
do I hang up?

Thanks in advance.

Matthew Chao

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts for Skype on the Mac

2012-02-04 Thread Sarah Alawami
The only shortcut you can do to my knowledge is hang up but I've become
proficient at the menus and the screens so can navigate with out the use of
keyboard shortcuts. Also I use clisk found at http://dlee.org/skype which
allows me to do a lot more via the command line or terminal.

Take care.
