Re: Audio looping software suggestions

2021-03-29 Thread Phil Halton
Yeah I know, and the learning curve for GB is a pain in the rump. I’m hoping
for something simpler to work with than GB if it all possible. How about
Amadeus pro does that do looping?

Audio looping software suggestions

2021-03-29 Thread Phil Halton
I’m looking for an app either iPhone or OS X that will let me mark positions on
an audio file (X begin, why end) and loop that section. Any suggestions? I’m
not interested in anything with a high learning curve or a big price tag.
Simpler the better. my purpose is to record a chord progression on guitar once
through and then be able to loop it rather than having to lay down eight or 10
run-throughs of the progression to be used as a practice rhythm backing track.
Thanks

Re: Microsoft Teams On iPhone And Accessibility

2021-03-29 Thread Jeff Berwick
I use Teams on my iPhone everyday and it is very accessible.

To get into a meeting, make sure that you are on the calendar tab—second from
the right at the bottom.

Then, find the meeting and the button right after the name of the meeting is
labelled “Join.”

Once you are in the meeting, you can click to join now and you are in.

Look around the screen and decide whether to turn your video and mic on or off.

Microsoft Teams On iPhone And Accessibility

2021-03-29 Thread Pete De Vasto
Hi all,

I know this topic has come up before, but of course, I had no reason to care
about using Teams on my iPhone at the time, so I didn’t save much of the info.
Today, however, I was trying to get into a meeting on Teams using my iPhone
running iOS 14.4.1, and I could not get it to work at all. I tried several
times, and on one or two of the attempts I did hear VO say “Connecting”, but it
just sat there. Fortunately, I was able to get in via the phone call method,
but I’d like to learn more about using the app directly. Is there any
documentation about using Teams anywhere that I could get hold of? Is there any
tweaking of settings that should be done to make things go better with VO?

Thanks so much,
Pete De Vasto

Re: Strange volume on desktop after installing Big Sur

2021-03-29 Thread Jonathan C. Cohn
Hello robert,
yes, in Big Sur the boot partition is a read-only signed image that is merged
with the data area. I believe the startup marker is indicating that you can
boot from it, not that you have booted from it. if you erase this partition (
well, it is not really a partition) than you will lose Big Sur and probably
your recovery partition.

Strange volume on desktop after installing Big Sur

2021-03-29 Thread 'Robert Cole' via MacVisionaries
Dear list,
I hope some of you can help with this issue.
I installed Big Sur on a second APFS Volume on Catalina.
The install went well, but while in Catalina, there is a volume on the desktop
called Update.
If I boot into Big Sur there is Macintosh HD, and Big Sur volumes as it should
be. I can even open the Mac HD to browse my Catalina files.
But if booted into Catalina, there is no Big Sur volume on the desktop, Just
Mac HD and Update volumes.
I have searched but did not find a solution for this problem.
In disk Utility the volume is called
com.apple.os.update-35C699ADD439C653A3B09EBD8A30FBD366881244EB7C82207A2E135362FCCB7F
I am scared to touch it because its labeled as
Disk icon, badged as startup volume.
Big Sur APFS System Snapshot • APFS
I don’t know why its labeled as startup disk, when Catalina is my startup disk,
even though it does not say so in disk utility.
Thanks,
Rob
