Re: Blackboard, anyone?
Hi, Greg, Your message is encouraging from the standpoint that you seem to be indicating that though difficult, the discussion threads can be more or less reliably navigated. Is this right? I would be interested in knowing the following: 1. What version of Blackboard is your institution using? 2. Which do you find more effective: Group Mode or DOM Mode? 3. Are you going to specific portions of the Blackboard platform by moving from frame to frame, or is there a different approach? Best regards and thank you! Re: Blackboard, anyone?
I haven't encountered a flash issue and my school is using blackboard 9.1. When I said using blackboard was tricky I just meant it takes some getting used to. Learning to navigate between the different frames and lists and menus can be somewhat cumbersome. A lot of that is my lack of ability with VO too though. I have not encountered anything I could not access yet though. Greg On Sep 7, 2010, at 3:18 PM, Chris Blouch wrote: As I said, it may depend on what they are using Flash for. If they are just using it for audio/video and have implemented keyboard controls or links to start/stop etc then the Flash would be fine. If they implement any controls in the Flash widget itself then Mac accessibility will be compromised. These days there really isn't a good reason to implement controls in Flash when HTML can do the same thing with less compatibility issues. I got the requirements from here: http://www.icc.edu/innovation/blackboard/browsercheck.html CB On 9/7/10 3:36 PM, Justin Ekis wrote: My college still uses blackboard 7.1 and it doesn't use flash at all anywhere.
