Re: Pages and APA 6th edition style

2012-11-04 Thread Tammy Abreu-Butron
I guess I'm really looking for an add-in software or template that will
automatically allow me to select headers, paragraph style, citing with various
formatting designations that APA requires by source type, etc. I know there is
a msword based program thar sits on top of word, but I prefer pages. All the
fussy in-text, and references that require the constant cross checking against
the APA manual is very time consuming and taxes my limited vision severely.
I was hoping for an automatic integration between writing a paper and
formatting it with current APA guidelines, like a set of preformatted options
from the editing tools.

any problems, as long as you keep the APA style guide on hand.

 Hi Tammy
Maybe I just don't get it or something but are you saying that you are using
pages? Because pages is accessible. So, if you're using pages what else is it
that you need added that you don't have now?

Re: Pages and APA 6th edition style

2012-11-04 Thread Anne Robertson
Hello Tammy,

I've mentioned several times on this list that I can send anyone a template for
the APA format. It contains all the necessary styles and heading formats. You
just have to type over the placeholder text and it will be correctly formatted.
Also, we put in examples of all the formats for references. You just need to
select that text and copy it into a TextEdit document as a reference guide.

Cheers,

Anne

Hello,

I can provide an APA template for Pages for anyone who needs it. Just email me
off list and I'll send it. I also have an MLA template available.

Cheers,

Anne
