Re: vm fusion sluggishness
Did that and it took at least 15 minutes to boot. So no pun intended I went bootcamp all the way and i could not be more happier. lol! S Ok I admit I was running vm from the bootcamp set up, that is I made vm read my bootcamp partition. Now that I have that set up though I want to change not. Take care. Re: vm fusion sluggishness
Good morning Sarah I too am running an XP Pro virtual machine under Fusion and do not notice the sluggishness you are referring to. It is true that the VM does not run as fast as a native machine, however I've managed to partially solve some of the issues by having a faster hard-drive. Occasionally, I notice that performing a disc and permissions repair seems to help matters. If you really need to utilize windows in a virtual environment, I would make sure you have configured your VM to utilize a processor with 2 cores and giving it as much RAM as you can spare. Hope this helps. Regards: Hai On Aug 13, 2010, at 4:42 AM, Sarah Alawami wrote: > Even with my 4 gigs and me giving it 3 of those gigs it was sluggish to the > point where it took 5 minutes to boot. Re: vm fusion sluggishness
Even with my 4 gigs and me giving it 3 of those gigs it was sluggish to the point where it took 5 minutes to boot. I even tried with half of my ram, 2 gigs and it was worse. I don't now if there is a fix. Take care.
