I don't know, but i've found that this behaviour of not recognizing
dynamically changing text in groups mode is significally better in SL,
that is VO recognizes dynamically changing pages much better there
than in Leopard. Sometimes though, i've found that you have to stop
interacting with the group or whatever thing the link is in than
immediately interact with it again.

Re: reading from links that just expand question

2009-09-22 Thread Christina

Thank you both so much. I never even considered that it would have
anything to do with groups mode. So, I switched to DOM mode and then
voiceover read the expanded text. It worked. :) I had not used DOM
mode for anything before. It never occurred that DOM mode would allow
me to access those things. Strangely voiceover still read the
expanded text after I switched back to groups mode.

Since you both taught me this little trick, I went to the keyboard
commander to set up the toggle between groups and Dom modes. I'm just
so glad to know of this little trick as I have encountered this issue
before on other web sites and now I have hope that I can try toggleing
the mode to get voiceover to read the text that seems to expand off of
a link. :)

Thanks,
Christina

reading from links that just expand question

2009-09-21 Thread Christina

Hi list,

I am trying to read a page of FAQ's. The problem is that when I click
on the link for the question, some text just kind of expands from the
link and I cannot access the text with the vo arrow keys nor can I
interact with it. It's as if the text with the answer does not even
exist on the page. I know this is happening because my hubby told
me. I have encountered this on other websites in the past. Is there
a way to access that text so that voiceover will read it to me?

I hope the above all made sense. :)

Thanks,
Christina

Why don't you send us the URL so we could varify what you are talking
about.
