[maemo-developers] Gazpacho and Xephyr
Hello list,I just completed a fresh reinstall of the SDK/rootstraps/packages; I am getting started using gazpacho for a py-gtk app. I am running it as recommended on the howto, inside a Xephyr window. I am experiencing a few problems, does anyone have an idea why? 1) at first the gazpacho window inside xephyr didnt receive any mouse clicks or keyboard input. I could only drag the gazp window arround by clicking anywhere on it.2) after some fooling around, I discovered that if I press i.e alt+F the file meny opens and then the window can receive clicks and keyboard. Even then, I could not change entries in textboxes and so on.I installed gazpatcho from debs, not svn.Thanks. ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
[maemo-developers] Re: Gazpacho and Xephyr
Sorry for the follow up.I figured that it has something to do with input method. Even if I set it to X input method instead of osso, I see no improvment over the previous mentioned problems. If there's an existing Ad-Hoc network, 770 should find it and connect to it like with normal infrastructure networks. The 'W' icon in the connect dialog just should be a bit more lighter blue in Ad-Hoc networks. I wouldn't say there's a bug in the 770 software just yet. There could be a bug in NetworkManager, the ipw2200 driver, or something on the other end. I'm going to do more testing and find out, especially now that I've ditched NetworkManager on my laptop. I just tried a $ iwlist wlan0 scan and found the ESSID of the Ad-Hoc network the WLAN card of my laptop was in. When I scanned for it with a tap on blue globe this Ad-Hoc network is always there regardless if it's currently reachable or not. The 770 also does not connect to this Ad-Hoc network automatically if it is reachable. [maemo-developers] virtual keyboard glyph font
hi i've managed to update a little my default theme via customizing fonts a bit and darkening whole theme ( convert -modulate 80 [file].png [file].png, adjusted color of ff to cbcbcb ). MAin problem of mine is, that default widget class style uses StandardFont mapped now to Nokia Sans 14 ( my adjustment ). Does anybody know which vkb ( virtual keyboard ) widgets should i set to use desired osso-ButtonFont style to archive normal-looking big ( i.e. 18px ) glyphs ? I have discovered that thumbnail keyboard uses *.osso-im-fkb-renderer widget. it being set to use osso-LargeFont for keyboard glyphs. -- Stell ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
[maemo-developers] Voice Notation
-- Forwarded message -- From: fireun ukobach [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Jul 12, 2006 5:21 PM Subject: Voice Notation To: maemo-users@maemo.org I've googled a bit but havnt come accross a concise answer as of yet.. My problem, is that I would like to record voice clips and email/IM them asyncronously. No live chat, just a voice msg. My question is this; is anyone working on this? is anyone working on gtalk that I can talk into/bribe into/diy change so as to allow a file to be saved locally? Seems like redirecting the session voice packets to a loopback type interface would acomplish it with minimal modifications to the gtalk app. Any comments? The 770 works well as a speakerphone. I'm thinking of it as a vocoder as well. cheers, the-=c ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
