[mailop] Yahoo FBL signup issue

2019-05-13 Thread Zachary Sverdrup via mailop
Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone from Yahoo is available to answer
some questions about their FBL signup process? Or if anyone has any
suggestions to my problem below I would appreciate any help.

The issue we are running into it that we are migrating our
clients to our new system which means having to submit multiple FBL
requests to Yahoo. I was able to verify the first few requests but then we
stopped receiving the verification code email from Yahoo.

Is there a limit to how many submissions you can do at one
time? We have a lot of these left to go and any help would be greatly
appreciated. Feel free to contact me off list .

  Thank you,

Re: [mailop] Howto be a good mailop (best practice / insights wanted)

I would suggest that you 'might' have a point when it comes to the
bigger players, but most of the rest of the world still relies heavily
on IP reputation.

We would suggest that transactional email ALWAYS be from different IP(s)
than your transactional email.. mixing transactional email with
marketing, while on the surface might be attractive to those sending
marketing through the same IP(s) to benefit from the favoured status
transactional email usually receives, in the end it may affect your
ability to deliver transactional email.

ALWAYS separating those two types should be a 'best practice' and of
course naming the PTR's clearly to show which is transactional and which
isn't will help ensure that your transactional mail always gets
preferred treatment.

[mailop] DigitalOcean responds to DMCA takedown (was re: DigitalOcean calling for social media s* storm? (Re: Why is it so hard to have takedown's performed..))

2019-05-13 Thread Anne P. Mitchell, Esq. via mailop

Just an update on our own issue - which was that DigitalOcean is hosting
privacy-formula.com, which is doing wholesale rip-off of content from places
like Sophos, Washington Times, Medium, NY Times, etc... and one of our
publications (The Internet Patrol). They are basically grabbing the RSS feeds
of these places and republishing them as their own.

We filed a DMCA takedown with Digital Ocean over this, and they did clearly
process it, as all of our stuff is now gone from the site - however, not only
is the site still up, but privacy-formula.com is still ripping off everybody
else. So..one more data point about DO.

[mailop] Anyone with contact to: Digibyte Media B.V. Netherlands?

2019-05-13 Thread Benoit Panizzon via mailop
Hi List

Since a couple of weeks our customers (and some of our support
email addresses) get spam emails advertising erotica services hosted by
DigiByte Media B.V. in the Netherlands.

Blocking is not easy, as the sender IP, content of emails and
redirection service URI used keeps changing.

Their website is hosted @ Google and they do not take down indirectly
spamvertized websites, no matter how much evidence you provide.

So I have kept trying to reach DigiByte Media B.V. by email and phone,
but I never get a reply and only get to the phone announcement that I
should send them an email which would be answered within 8 working
hours.

Is anything else known about that company? Any way to reach them?

Mit freundlichen Grüssen

-Benoît Panizzon-

Re: [mailop] SwissCom contact required

2019-05-13 Thread Roland Meier via mailop
Hi Andrei
Are you talking about the corporate domain swisscom.com or the residential
domains bluewin.ch and bluemail.ch?
For bluewin.ch/bluemail.ch I can’t locate the deferrals you talking about.
Could you send us some log examples with timestamp and sending Domain and
failed recipients to postmas...@bluewin.ch ?
Perhaps I’ll locate the problem with this additional details. For Swisscom.com
I’m not responsible, but could forward your detailed Problem to the right
persons.

Regards
Roland Meier

Betreff: [mailop] SwissCom contact required

HI guys,

I need a contact at SwissCom. I have found their postmaster page however there
are only guidelines and not a contact form.
We have started sending to SwissCom and we receive allot of deferrals because
of the following:
Failed to query ldap/internal error
452 requested action aborted, internal error, please try again later

From their documentation its an internal issue on their part however I still
want to reach out to them as we have a big client which will be sending to
Swisscom 

Any contact will be greatly appreciated.
