RE: MI-L Crystal reports

2003-09-08 Thread Peter Horsbøll Møller
Be aware that the version of Crystal Report that ships with MapInfo doesn't
support these features as far as I'm aware.

So the reason for these errors might be that MapX is not found !

 Hi all,

I am experimenting with crystal reports, and trying to place
 a map in the
report. As soon as I press the map button, I get an error
 Couldn't load
 mapping dlls. Any ideas?

I end up wanting to automate the generation of reports for a
 selected set
of data with mapbasic, and would appreciate any warnings of the
 frustrations of this approach.

 TIA.

Re: MI-L text object content to row

Hi Nebojsa,

Try updating yur column with objectinfo(obj,3)

Gary

Nebojsa Pesic [EMAIL PROTECTED] 09/03/03 06:36PM
Hello,

I have MapInfo table with 3 columns: X, Y and _DXFElevation.

Every row in this table is text object (on my map) that represent
real elevations
(example 220.00,134.00...etc).
X and Y are coordinates of text object but DXFElevation column is
filled up with 0.

I have about 4000 records so I need to fill DXFElevation column
automatically with
text on the map (elevation data). More precise, I need to copy this
elevation data in
text form into a coresponding row. I need this for later exporting
to CAD software
for some 3D work.

I don't know how to make an expression in Update Column table but
i,m sure that I
read somwhere that this could be done.

TIA

RE: MI-L Decimal Degrees to DMS

2003-09-08 Thread Michael Smith
If you have version 7.0 of MapInfo, click on map options and under display
coordinates select degrees, minutes, seconds. On the same window under
display in status bar select cursor location. This will display coordinates
in your map window in degrees minutes seconds.

2003-09-08 Thread Jakob Lanstorp
You can download a delphi source code from my web site under the Download
page.
Showing how to use the command line utility of UT for converting Tab to
Shape.
Prehaps this can give you an idear on how to fix your problem with
microstation files.
You could 'easely', I think..., develop a converting loop doing all 24000
files in one run.

My sample application is call Tab2Shp.

help with the MI version perhaps..

 Hope this helps,

MI-L FW: Crystal Report Indexes

2003-09-08 Thread jhoward
I tried this earlier but no response. I do hope someone else is using
relational database reporting!

I have been using numberous relational databases that use index referencing
to other tables. I am having trouble utilizing the Visual Expert
capabilities in Crystal Reports to identify relational information. It will
alway ask for the index table to use and MapInfo Index files do not appear
to be in an exceptable format. Any suggestions as to how to utilize indexes
in in Crystal for relational tables? (MIPro 7.0)

TIA
Jerry

If you have version 7.0 of MapInfo, click on map options and under display
coordinates select degrees, minutes, seconds. On the same window under
display in status bar select cursor location. This will display coordinates
in your map window in degrees minutes seconds.
