Yeah, I think the magazine folks have a system that's working and don't want to tamper with that. This would be for all other marketing issues, and if we have something specific to the magazine we can hit up that meeting. CommOps will add this to our "WikiGardening" section for our next meeting (after the new year.) We could still use a battle plan though, in addition to refreshing and revamping old SoP's, and other mktg content I we already know to be out of date. > > 3) maybe we should plan meeting time based on our tasks, and monthly > > only for parsing tickets; > > Not sure I fully grok what you're suggesting here. I think you're saying > monthly meeting to go through tickets, but no sure about "plan meeting > time based on our tasks." Ticket based meetings work well for design, and have worked decently well for CommOps thusfar too. We didn't use this model at first because our team infrastructure wasn't quite up to speed (people or tech wise) but I think we've gotten the hang of it now. I would def recommend bi-weekly, ticket based meetings, at the very least. CommOps will ship a "whenisgood" poll for this in the near future to nail down days/times. > > 4) in order to have a clear marketing meeting I think it don't have to > > include magazine (magazine meetings can goin'on as usual). > > Yeah, I think the magazine folks have a system that's working and don't > want to tamper with that. [Marketing] Getting in gear for 2016
Hey all, It was discussed in channel that it might be a good idea to reboot regular Marketing meetings in 2016 to help get on track and ready for 2016. Gabri is helping bring back the retrospective to let us reflect back on what we've done and where we can improve - this might make a good discussion topic for jumping back in with a meeting. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/2015_marketing_retrospective It was also mentioned that it might be good to include CommOps on the discussion to help connect Marketing to the other parts of the Project. What are all of your timetables looking like for the New Year and do we want to look at putting meetings back on the map? I've only been here for a few months and I've mostly been in the Magazine, so I know there are others who have been around for many more cycles than me that might have some experienced thoughts to offer.
