Go see 'Man on the Moon', that one is good. Or go out and see 'The Truman show'.
These are two examples that show that Jim Carry can play other roles.

It's like Bruce Willis prooved with '12 Monkeys' and 'The Sixt Sence' that he
can do better than 'Die Hard' and others.

I'm not sure in this case that "creative" is an accurate word.

Oh, please, let's not start that again...

 From the Internet Movie Database:

If having a lot of credits is indicative of artistic worth, then
Chuck Norris is a great actor.

Hint: Chuck Norris is *not* a great actor.

Guys, you are supposed to at least make an attempt to tie this stuff in
with MD G. Does anyone know if Chuck Norris owes a mini disc
recorder? I'll bet Mike Myers has one :).

There are so many ways to measure the talent of an individual. My son
is an actor (no you haven't seen him on TV or in any movies, but he has
done summer stock-he's basically a stage actor and teaches theater at a
fancy college prep school).

If large numbers of people find Chuck Norris movies (and his TV show)
entertaining, then while he may technically not be a "good" actor, it
does have the talent to entertain. I have seen him in a lot of movies
that I really enjoyed (even if I didn't walk away learning the meaning
of life from them).

As for Mike Myers. It's not just his comedic acting ability (btw, I
confused Myer's with Dana Carvey-Carvey did church lady, sorry) but his
writing and general creative talent. Myer's has created several
"institutions".

Austin Powers (which by the way I was very disappointed in. I really
didn't see what all of the fuss was about (Give me "Blazing Saddles" any
day) is probably almost as well know as James Bond.

Some of those guys don't act at all... They just play themselves.
Could John Wayne act? he always played John Wayne and the people loved
him and so did I.

Is that ever an understatement! Its as bad as watching the Ghoul, a
guy that used to play the after hours B grade movies on late night TV
back in the early 70's. He wore a mop on his head, sunglasses with one
lens out. the only thing he had going for him was the TV station
didn't have to pay him much, and there was on off button on the TV.

I did that with my Jim Kewskin Jug Band CD. I gotta get around to
copying my LPs next.

I hated him. Not only did not not enjoy his movies, I didn't like the man.
There was a Playboy interview with a REAL actor, Ed Asner, about 20 years
ago. If you had read the article you'd see why I hate Wayne. But this is
not the proper forum for that.

I never heard of him. But I did see a guy named Jim Carrey in those movies
:).

These albums were not available on CD until very recently. I had them all
on vinyl, but lost two of them in a fire. So this was a big deal for me.
I have been trying to one particular song that is on one of them for 20
 years!

That reminds me about MD. People are making a great fuss about CD, MD and
what ever sound quality. When I was in my teens and twenties I had the time
to sit down in my family room and just listen to music.

Sound quality was very important to me then because that's what I was
doing. I usually don't have the luxury of doing that very often. If I get
any free time I usually watch a DVD now a days.

So most of my music listening is done while I am driving. I guess I should
invest more money in my car stereo. I have just had a 1990 Pontiac Am quad
four restored. Up until now I didn't have a car that I felt was worth
putting a good system in.

I really love home theater though. Before I bought a Dolby Pro Logic
receiver (about 18 years ago) I "hot wired" the two rear speakers using a
stereo receiver. Believe it or not, it actually sounds pretty good.

You don't get a front center channel. But the ambiance sound is picked up
in the rear.

If anyone one is not familiar with "hot wiring", you take the positive lead
from the right front speaker and attach it to the positive terminal on the
rear right. The same with the left. Then you attach the right rear
negative to the left rear negative.

You may not think you've ever heard of Mike Myers, but odds are almost
100% you have. He's the creative force and the title role in the Austin
Powers films, among other projects.

Rodney,

Unless a person has been in outer space with no communications with earth
what so ever since "Wayne's World", "Church Lady", "Coffee Talk" etc., it
is impossible not to know who he is.

Maybe I'm paranoid (but you know that even paranoid people have enemies) I
detect undertones in his comment that deeply concern me.

For those of you who understand what I am concerned about, no explanation
is necessary. For those who do not, no explanation will suffice.

And he's Canadian. Man those Canadians come down here and just take over
like they own the place G. Seriously, a lot of the great talent that we
have enjoyed over the years are Canadian born. Also, much of the
television and movies that we watch are filmed in Canada.

I think that the Canadian government contribute financially to certain
projects.
