That is super rare.  I've never even heard of this color.  Buy the car or

So the guy gave me the vin and it turns out it’s Bornite/blackberry. I thought 
this color looked a little different than what you typically see.  Is this 
somewhat an unusual color? I got the guy down to $2200.

I have a bunch of “private” knackers around that specialize in European cars, 
but their prices are just stupid.

LKQ isn’t too far from me, but it’s worthless. There are “lot rats” that strip 
anything and everything of value on cars as soon as they come in, no doubt to 
resell on eBay. So anything that’s left is just crap.

Body shops don't really "repair" anything anymore, they swap on new parts.

The hood and fender probably could have been hammered out and fixed, but that 
requires more skill than just replacing them.

So that says you are ahead with only dollar costs if you dis/remount less
than 40 - 50 tires. If you add your time and convenience -- you may put
off swapping a particular tire or set because of the time involved in
taking it/them to someone and having them do it -- it is even less than
that.

That's why I, too, have gotten the tools to dis/remount tires from
automobiles to my Kenworth (285/75R24.5) and Kentucky Trailer
(215/75R17.5).

I have less than a grand in my rim clamp machine and balancer. It’s very 
convenient being able to pop a tire off a rim, swap tires, install new tires 
etc. Saves a ton of time having to go to a tire shop and wait around for them 
to try and sell me additional crap. Seems like the rate for mount and balance 
these days is $20-$25.

And new cars are a bit frightening in a number of ways. One of our 
neighbours has an essentially new Audi. He was in a minor fender bender. 
The car was still driveable but the hood, left fender, bumper etc were 
damaged. I talked to him yesterday and he said it cost $35,000 to repair 
it. The replacement hood was apparently $6,000.

Discount tire direct or tires easy. Your best bet for these size tires is 
probably going to be tires easy. They have a lot more options but you never 
heard of most. Just an FIY I just bought a set of Lexin or something like that 
as they were actually H rated tires and seemed to be the best bet. The general 
Altimax are also a good tire but were a lot more expensive than these, and they 
are only a T rated tire in that size. I have these tires mounted on the rims 
and they look fine, but I have not driven on them yet.
