[MBZ] 123 Blower motor ?'s
There is a nice 123 diesel on ebay that appears to be selling cheap. One reason is probably because the blower motor is not working. How much of a project is that? What does it cost - parts and labor (if I don't do it). Donald H. Re: [MBZ] 123 Blower motor ?'s
I don't think a W123 is abnormally difficult. Just remember, if it's a 1976 it might be a W115, and those are incredibly time consuming to replace. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

I know the '76's were terrible to replace, but I thought the '76's were easy - or was that just the AC blower? Sorry - meant to say the 75's were terrible to replace - I had to do that one once, and was told the '76's were easy at the time. Re: [MBZ] 123 Blower motor ?'s - oops
It's the 115 that's a bear to do (did it twice), the 115 ran from '68 to '76. The 123 started in '77 - should be LOTs easier to change, though I've never had to do it. The 107 - '72 to '89 - were EASY to change! (did it once). I know the '76's were terrible to replace, but I thought the '76's were easy - or was that just the AC blower? Heater blower on a 114/115 is a nightmare. AC blower on same is easy. Before I purchase a replacement motor, I should ask whether there is a relay that might be at fault rather than the motor itself. Anybody? There is a relay, the blower control relay. But on a 123 it's very easy to check things out up on the fender where the blower speed resistor pack is located. You can test there for power being supplied, continuity through the resistors themselves, and whether the blower motor runs or not with power applied. A schematic really helps at this point. -- Jim
