In Winnipeg we spent millions to build a pedestrian bridge with a restaurant in the middle. Needless to say it does not do well in winter since one cannot park anywhere near it. Nice looking bridge but we have crumbling streets and the politicians spend our tax money on toys. We have also had lots of money spent rebuilding bridges and then rebuilding them again the next year since the first time did not take.
