Between Dad and I we've shot 3. Dad's permit is probably the best zone
possible. Dave's is a zone we don't hunt but he's going to hire a guide.

Badgers are fairly large burrowing animals, with a nasty disposition and
a nasty set of teeth. They will burrow near a fence cornerpost and knock
down two miles of fence (at least out here in the west) by doing so.

We caught one running down the lane on the south side of the 80 acres we
had south of Calhan, Colorado. The lane was on the north side of our
neighbor's fenced field and on the south side of our unfenced field.

We were headed east on the lane to go visit the neighbor and came upon the
badger, also headed east. As we approached in our 4000# Willys Utility
Wagon, the badger turned north into our field. I followed in the Utility
wagon.

I had to run him over 8 times before he stopped moving.

[MBZ] Moose Day Chuckle

2009-08-28 Thread pm7088

This explains a lot about our cars! :-)

Pete

Understanding Engineers - Take One
Two engineering students were walking across a university campus when
one said, Where did you get such a great bike?
The second engineer replied, Well, I was walking along yesterday,
minding my own business, when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike,
threw it to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, Take what
you want.
The second engineer nodded approvingly and said, Good choice; the
clothes probably wouldn't have fit you anyway.

Understanding Engineers - Take Two
To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass
is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs
to be.

Understanding Engineers - Take Three
A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning for a
particularly slow group of golfers. The engineer fumed, What's with
those blokes? We must have been waiting for fifteen minutes! The
doctor chimed in, I don't know, but I've never seen such inept
golf!
The priest said, Here comes the greens keeper. Let's have a word
with him. He said, Hello, George! What's wrong with that group
ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?
The greens keeper replied, Oh, yes. That's a group of blind fire
fighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last
year, so we always let them play for free anytime.
The group fell silent for a moment.
The priest said, That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer
for them tonight.
The doctor said, Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist
colleague and see if there's anything he can do for them.
The engineer said, Why can't they play at night?

Understanding Engineers - Take Four
What is the difference between mechanical engineers and civil
engineers?
Mechanical engineers build weapons and civil engineers build targets.

Understanding Engineers - Take Five
The graduate with a science degree asks, Why does it work? The
graduate with an engineering degree asks, How does it work? The
graduate with an accounting degree asks, How much will it cost? The
graduate with an arts degree asks, Do you want fries with that?

Understanding Engineers - Take Six
Three engineering students were gathered together discussing the
possible designers of the human body. One said, It was a mechanical
engineer. Just look at all the joints. Another said, No, it was an
electrical engineer. The nervous system has many thousands of
electrical connections. The last one said, No, actually it had to
have been a civil engineer. Who else would run a toxic waste pipeline
through a recreational area?

Understanding Engineers - Take Seven
Normal people believe that if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Engineers
believe that if it isn't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.

Those were all very funny!

Here's a commonly heard comment at law schools:

What do you call the law school graduate with the 3.9 GPA? Professor

What do you call the law school graduate with the 3.0 GPA? Judge

What do you call the law school graduate with the 2.5 GPA? A litigator

What do you call the law school graduate with the 2.0 GPAA criminal defense
attorney

What do you call the law school graduate who graduated last in his/her class?
A lawyer

Here's a new one:

What do you call the Harvard law school graduate who barely graduated and did
not actually practice law? Senator or Mr. President.

Q) What do you call a Cooley grad who barely passed the bar, worked less than a
year in a law firm, and then spent about 10 years proving herself to be the most
childish and idiotic member of the Michigan House of Representatives?

A) Your Honor. When term limits cleared her out of her House seat, she ran for
circuit court judge in the county where state government is located, which is
the court of first impression for major suits against the state. When her total
lack of courtroom experience was mentioned in the campaign, she shrugged it off
by explaining how she inherited her grandfather's many decades of judicial
experience. They elected and re-elected her. All I can figure is that Ingham
County voters are morons who want to be smarter than their elected officials.

Mitch.

I don't want to reveal how, but in my foolishness I managed to get
contaminants in the fuel tank and lines. What procedure would be
recommended for emptying the tank thru the line that comes into the
engine compartment?
Would it be best to,say, blow compressed air into the tank to chase it
out and capture it in a can, or would it be better to apply a vacuum and
draw it out from the front? Is it possible to point the car downhill and
just let gravity empty it? I think I need to just drain out what is at
the bottom of the tank. Surely someone has successfully accomplished
this and can say how it was done.
thanks in advance for your help.
