Re: [MBZ] Need a car cover

2020-12-21 Thread Curt Raymond via Mercedes
I've really enjoyed not working on my 2015 VW Jetta, other than changing the
oil.
Our 2010 Dodge RAM has had a host of little things this year, a wheel bearing,
front and rear brakes, rust repair and now it needs heater actuators. Those
don't look hard, I'm just waiting for a warm day.It needs replacing, I'll look
around, maybe next week I'll find a dealership thats hungry to close the year
with a sale. Otherwise maybe there will be some deals around President's day.

[MBZ] Need a car

2019-02-07 Thread Donald Snook via Mercedes
I just saw all of your responses to my question about the 91 rod-bender. The
seller did confirm that it is burning a quart of oil in 700 miles. I think he
knows he is on borrowed time.

I was looking at it because I am in need of a car. My house in Wichita will
close next and I’ll have some cash. My current BMW has been great, but is
starting to send signals that things are going to get bad real soon.

I’m looking for a decent looking car. Not too small. I wouldn’t mind a 123
diesel if it’s nice. A 124 diesel would be better or a 126 gasser (not a
300se/Sel) would be great or even a newer MB — I am not very knowledgeable
about them. I also like Lexus or the Toyota Avalon.

I’m looking to spend anywhere from $2500-6000. Anybody got anything? Miles

I have a 94 Mitsubishi Diamante LS. I believe all options for the
year, Power Windows, Locks, Drivers Seat, Sunroof, Auto Dimming rear
view interior/exterior mirrors, heated exterior mirrors with rear
window defrost, 3.0 DOHC V6, Silver with Black Leather. Remote
Keyless, but have no fobs. AM/FM Cass Infinity System with Power
Antenna. She has been a very reliable car for me, but really want to
own my first Diesel and, as such, will share the car I'm looking
at with you as well.

(copy and pasted, btw, so sic on spelling and such)

1983 Mercedes Benz, 300D (Diesel), Automatic w/ 200K+ miles. Runs and
drives great especially on the highway. I bought this car as a project
however, I was injured in Iraq, cannot drive and I basically lost
interest in cleaning up the car. I have been offered much more than
the price posted but just recently decided to sell. The car is in need
of some minor repair; front rear brakes, a transmission flush and
that is it as far as I know. Great car for the price and easily
transformed to biodiesel. It does have very a minor rust spot on a
small part of the exterior near the rear window. The A/C and heat are
in perfect working condition and comes with all a/c recharging
equipment. I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle and purchased it while
stationed in Cocoa Beach Fl, and have drivien it all up and down the
East Coast and back and forth from FL to IN several times. However, I
haven't driven it for over two-three months and it is just setting. It
is equipped w/ vacumed door locks, sunroof and cruise control. The
interior is leather pale yellow color and in near perfect condition. I
am asking tremendously less than what I paid for the car and need to
get it moved ASAP. I am asking $1,500(OBO). Please feel free to
contact me during the day at (317) 810-9268 or evenings (after 7
weekends) at (317) 590-6252. This is a very much sought after vehicle.

Also saw this wagon (again, cut and pasted)

1984 Mercedes Diesel, $2200, station Wagon. Have too many cars gotta
sell some. This Mercedes wagon runs great. Gets 30 to 35 MPG depending
on how fast you go. It needs the speedometer fixed and seats
recovered. AC quit working this summer. These diesels run forever and
get over 30mpg. Autofax avalable shows 212,000 last time the odometor
worked. (just before I bought it).
