Re: [MBZ] OT back to washing machines
I wonder how easy it is to check stock on Lowe’s web site? That’s one nice thing about doing it in the store - the salespeople can tell you the status of the stock at any time. The Costco thing that Floyd pointed out is pretty good. We’re Costco members and use their branded VISA card as well, as you get points for buying gas, so we may go that route. The kickback plus the additional warranty makes it worthwhile. They also have a really good selection on their web site, too. Hmm. -D > On Oct 21, 2020, at 2:35 PM, Allan Streib via Mercedes > wrote: > > From my experience buying a washer a few months ago, Lowes has more > choices on their website than they have in stock in the stores. From my experience buying a washer a few months ago, Lowes has more choices on their website than they have in stock in the stores. In the stores they indeed have mostly the higher-featured, higher-priced selections. Re: [MBZ] OT back to washing machines
I checked reviews on those 2 units linked below, the Whirlpool got some bad reviews but the Maytag reviews were all pretty good whatever that might mean. Costco have a deal where if you get their credit card and pay with that you get another 2yr (4 total) warranty coverage and another 2% cash back. I'm not a CC fan but that might be worth it to get it, pay off the CC, then stick it in a drawer. That would give me $30 off total then the extra 2 years is good. I can buy online and get it delivered next Wed, they haul off the old one, do the hookup, etc. so that's a good deal, pretty much turnkey. And yeah that is about the least expensive they have for the larger (mid!) size so I guess that is what you have to buy. I see Fred's comment that they are both made by Whirlpool, I guess that is why they look similar, probably have the same guts. h --FT On 10/21/20 12:54 PM, Dan Penoff via Mercedes wrote: We’re shopping appliances for the new house, and all I can say is there seems to be nothing in the way of basic, plain Jane sort of appliances any more.
