Re: [MBZ] photos of the new E-Class
It's not scientific or anything, but just based on all the new S and C classes running around here, I think Benz has a pretty good following and are pushing all the right buttons with a lot of people. I don't really know anything about the market, but for whatever reason shares are down, I don't think it's due to lack of sales of newer models, not around here anyway. Maybe something to do with trying to buy into the minivan market awhile back. Maybe it is a official leak to test the market, manufacturers will sometimes do that if they are not sure if their styling is heading in the right direction. That way they can just say the fugly car was a work in progress. It looks like an uglied up chrysler something. Especially from the front. Maybe i could get used to it, but a 123, 124 and of course the 126 all look better to me. Doubt I will either, but I always like to window shop and know what I'll be in the market for 10 or so years down the road. ;-) I see it now, "'08 S550, silver, charcoal interior, only 120,000 kms. Willing to take a vintage W124 on trade". hee hee Ed 300E 2008/12/10 Wilton Strickland <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > 'Likely to top $90k? Re: [MBZ] photos of the new E-Class
Not bad. Not sure about the rear end, hard to really tell from the pics. Looks like the tail lights may be integrated into the rear fender arches a bit. Angle of the rear lights reminds me a bit of that high end Nissan (Infiniti), which I wasn't too fond of. I like the new S, so I think some of those styling elements look good on the E too. I've seen a few pics of the new E interior, and it's very similar to the S. As far as the current lineup of cars goes, I wish they had carried a bit more of the styling of the new S rear end over to the coupe. I think the sedan's rear is much more elegant than the coupe's rear. It's nice to see some boldness with the design of the last crop of Mercs. Also nice to see the quality returning to where it should be in cars in this league.
