Of the carriers here that use their own vehicle, most seem to use a RHD Jeep Cherokee or a RHD Subaru. I see one every so often that has an old Jeep DJ. We had a contract carrier a few years ago that had a basic Chevy, like a Cavalier or Impala, that had rigged a steering wheel on the right side of the cabin with a spare steering column and a couple of bicycle sprockets and chain. It looked real Rube Goldberg but it was actually pretty cool. All of the carriers from Olivet and some of them from Charlotte are still delivering in private vehicles. (my mom's Charlotte route is served with a USPS van, mine by whatever the carrier owns) And it's getting harder and harder to find something with a clear floor that lets you stab at the pedals from the right seat.
