Quite true.  However, these are indy car dealer/repair shop guys, so who knows 
how stupid they are?

We’ll see.  I can probably get down there on Tuesday and check it out.  If

I wrote a very concise note in the application (they give you a place to do 
such things) explaining that I realized it wasn’t a perfect car but it would be 
a good opportunity to bring in potential buyers who would otherwise look away 
due to the sorts of prices cars were commanding these days - sort of a “value” 
type of thing.  Guess they’re not interested in that aspect of the market.  
However, we’ve seen some real beaters there, too, so I’m still a bit perplexed 
as to what kind of oracle they consult when they decide to list something.

I was going to go down there today and take a look at the W108, but since they 
bumped the price earlier this week I didn’t see a lot of value in a 45 minute 
drive for something that the seller has unrealistic expectations for.

I may still check it out next week if it’s still around.  I could make them an 
offer if it’s decent and leave it at that. After I’ve determined those damned 
wheel well arch things aren’t hiding rust, of course.

Thanks, but I’m done with projects for now, unless they would be a Finnie or 
W108 6 cylinder sedan.  I’ve gotten sidetracked too many times on my search, 
and I’m starting to freak out over prices I’m seeing for these cars.

I hate to say it, but I sort of wish the economy would tank (a little) so there 
wasn’t so much disposable income out there right now.  You can see the results 
of this on BAT. People paying stupid prices for stuff.
