I have never tried it. It is sitting in the garage for about ten years now.
It is missing a plastic throttle linkage connector, needs to have forks
rebuilt, no battery, and the tires hold air but are cracked on the sides. Bike

My brother has a RD350 2 cylinder 2 stroke and it is fast. Back when I was
into motorcycles it would run with my 1982 750cc Honda Magnum. Basically
both were faster than I wanted to go.

Last time I visited my brother he had just got a 1000cc bike and was telling
me how fast it was. So I took it for ride, road up the road and the bike
would only get up to about 90MPH, where I normally on a small bike I could
at least hit 100MPH. On the way back the max it would do was about 50MPH.
When I slowed down to make turn I realized why when the front breaks locked
up. When I told my brother he said Yeap it does that sometimes!

A friend of mine was telling me about one of his dad's bikes that did the same
thing. My suggestion that it might be the rubber brake line was met with scorn.
It was about 2 weeks later when out of desparation they tried replacing that
front line, since then everything has been fine...

My '82 Honda CB900 will be getting new rubber brake lines this spring, the
brakes weren't releasing like they should toward the end of the season.

Good show! Resistance loads are the easiest to deal with but you can
 use
them to load test the generator just fine. About 17 coffee pots, space
heaters, and/or toaster ovens would work and you could have breakfast
and keep warm while you test.

Keeping warm while testing is not a problem! Remember that IC engines
waste about 2/3 the fuel as heat and often I'm standing with the
exhaust from the open exhaust ports blowing at my chest. Loud and
smelly! I always open a couple of garage doors when running the
generator.

The generator is in a garage bay with the Frankenheap parked outside.
The radiator points at the heap. It was snowing this morning and
the windshield was covered. By the time I was done testing the
car's windshield was clear and the LP tank's gauge had moved
noticeably.

I've also got a basket-load of electric furnace resistance elements
I bought at St. Vinnie's for about $1 each. The idea was to flange
those up in front of a fan as a serious dummy load when the time came.

Welcome to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list! Welcome to the

you enjoy the new lists. There are very few rules here. Number one
is to repect your fellow list members, no flame wars. Next, no major

of it. And finally, HAVE FUN!!

The default setting for the list is plain mode. If you need to change

change your password and delivery options. It is very simple.

Might want to save that, as soon as I switch to the new domain the same
situation will apply again.

We are resetting the mailing lists which require everyone to be
resubscribed. Default is real time mode. If you want to change to
digest mode use the password supplied in this notice and log into the
list page. You can change all of your settings there.

Welcome to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list! Welcome to the
replacement Mercedes discussion list to the mbz.org lists. We hope
you enjoy the new lists. There are very few rules here. Number one
is to repect your fellow list members, no flame wars. Next, no major
profanity. If one slips out its no big deal, just do not make a habit
of it. And finally, HAVE FUN!!

The default setting for the list is plain mode. If you need to change
your delivery to digest mode, simply log into the list page with the
password supplied in this welcome message. Once logged in, you can
change your password and delivery options. It is very simple.

To post to this list, send your email to:

General information about the mailing list is at:

http://striplin.net/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_striplin.net

If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (eg, switch to
or from digest mode, change your password, etc.), visit your
subscription page at:

http://striplin.net/mailman/options/mercedes_striplin.net/edbooher%40gmail.com

You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message to:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

with the word `help' in the subject or body (don't include the
quotes), and you will get back a message with instructions.

You must know your password to change your options (including changing
the password, itself) or to unsubscribe.

Normally, Mailman will remind you of your striplin.net mailing list
passwords once every month, although you can disable this if you
prefer. This reminder will also include instructions on how to
unsubscribe or change your account options. There is also a button on
your options page that will email your current password to you.

You must have missed the admin message on this subject. As soon as I
get around to it, the list will be running from okiebenz.com instead of
striplin.net. You will not have to resubscribe, everyone will be moved
there. If you are on digest though you will have to change back to
digest after the move.

Brian Chase wrote:

Good to get this info. Kaleb, are you saying that soon this list will go
away, and we will have to resubscribe, sort of like what happened some
time

ago when we moved away from Mercedes.org (approximate name)?

Just asking, as I don't want to miss out - the list is entertaining and
 often useful.
