which is interesting.  Anyway, if you have recently asked me for a report that 
I could not provide, feel free to send me the VIN and I will send you the 
report. If you are just randomly wanting me to run the VIN on every car you 
own, you might be out of luck on that. I may consider keeping the subscription 
going but folks might need to start contributing some funds to help support 
running the lists etc.

on a fairly non valuable car. I was/still am looking for a W201 diesel. Maybe 
I'll buy Thurd Floydsby's in the spring. I found a 2006 W211 for $5500 local to 
me, but I didn't have the money at the time.

Don’t Windex them, buy the foamy window cleaner that is approved for use on 
window tint.  It does a much better job.

I like Stoner “Invisible Glass”.  Works well on all glass surfaces and is safe 
to use on window tint, something that’s important both here and in AZ.

 As I understand it doing head gaskets proactively on these is a good idea. I 
talked to a guy that owns a small Subaru shop that sells cars and he does head 
gaskets on every car he gets in. He says they're quick and "easy"...

It shouldn't show up in the salvage databases, it has a clean title.
But carfax picks up on stuff like that, and Farmer's Insurance is the seller. 
Without a clean carfax, I don't want to pay more than $6k for it, which lets me 
bid $5300, and it's already at $5200 and the auction hasn't started yet. 
Next time I'm bringing a jump pack, the battery on the Focus is dead. 
Without knowing if it's still under warranty, it's a risk, albeit a low risk, 
to buy a car you can't hear run. Being a 2014 it's probably over 36 months old 
so you'd be into powertrain warranty instead of full warranty.

but if you are looking for a report and posting in on BAT you probably just 
need to order one. Mine are on the down low and I don't want them posted on a

So it went from Korea to the dealer in CA in 2014, sold in 2015, sold back to GM
in 2016, sold to a Wisconsin dealer and shipped to WI a couple of months later?

I've been PMing on a SparkEV forum with a fellow who owns a buyback 2014 lemon.
He's totally happy with his.

the owner was Gm so their address would be Michigan.

Right, but whatever the factory set as the minimum is not a good place to store
it at. Especially if Onstar/etc keeps drawing it down after the computer says
'no more driving for you'. 

I'd like to take it for a two hour drive with a full battery and find out what
the computers think the current battery capacity is. But I'm not ready to
commute 14 hours for a test drive unless I'm pretty sure I'm buying it.

Lithium batteries can't be run all the way down or they catch fire or some 
foolish thing. The batteries will have protection built in to keep them from 
running all the way down.

it, and a dealer in Wisconsin bought it and hauled it back to the Great Lakes?

yesterday, so maybe it was in CA. The EVSE (charge cord) isn't there yet, why
it's not in the trunk of the car, I have no idea. At least I convinced him he
can charge it with the EVSE from one of the Volts they have, he said it's dead
flat, which is not a good way to store any battery, especially one that
expensive. 

I don't believe the $12,810 adjusted resale value, I can get a new 2016 for that
much. They want $8999+99 for it in Wisconsin. 
If those things are going $7k at auction and dealers are selling them for $9k, I
want to get in on the auction. Any idea if the lemon auctions are franchise only
or if any dealer can buy there?

GM bought it as a lemon and a western Wisconsin dealer picked it up at auction
this week. Being on the Minneapolis side instead of the Chicago side, it's about
450 miles away by road. 

Did you find the youtube commercial from the original selling dealer in
California?
