I would guess that it depends upon the quality of the frame and the 
covering. There is likely a considerable variance out there. Find 
someone who has one and find out what the brand name of it is if they 
have had theirs for a while and are happy with it.

The UV in sunlight eats the covering. A lot of folks around here put a silver 
tarp over the top to save it. There are some around that have been up for a 
long time.

The guy in the house behind us got one like that which has corrugated metal for 
the covering. His doesn't have the ends covered and twice I've been outside in 
high winds where the thing has lifted off the ground. It comes down with a 
helluva crash. The bows are all bent in the center. He's got it propped back up 
but it looks awful. I've got some crap in my yard but I can't believe what that 
guy considers okay.

If I got one I'd spend some time attaching it to the ground...

hesitating. Perhaps we break the communication barrier, I make arrangements to 
get down there. After driving 8 hours it then gets sold before I arrive. Or, I 
arrive, pick it up, on the way back the cops pull he over because it’s reported 
stolen.

Do the footings first, with the attach points to bolt down the arches.
Build the first arch, stand it up and brace it in squared up position, bolt
down the feet, both sides. [make sure the width measurements are right on
the mark.
Then, build each successive arch by bolting the segments to the one
standing up. Two guys on a man lift basket can handle each segment and get
it secured into place. Tip, put all the bolts in all the holes with nuts
and washers hand tight until you get the next segments in place which gives
you some "wiggle room" to fit it all together, then tighten the previous
segment.
Make sure none of the segment joints line up with the previous arch segment
joints, so you don't build a "failure line" into the structure.
Once you get it started right, it will go together like a giant leggo set.
Also, once the structure is up and bolted down to the footings, you can
pour the concrete floor in the shade. [your concrete workers will like that]

I watch the homestead rescue program from time to time a one of the episodes
they assembled one sections are bolted together and then raised into
position. Then the next is raised and bolted to the next. I pick a calm day
to do it as they are light and flimsy until multiple unites are bolted
together. I imagine U tube would be the place to see the assembly process.

first one.


Good idea to have a nice concrete floor with sort of trenches on either 
side for the arches to stand it so that it cannot collapse outwards.

Now I buy a $500 card when my membership is expiring, then I'm eligible

was restoring the 65 220SEb. They were closing out the stock and had discounted 
them down to around $500. I bought one for it, as they had been around $1200

I'm guessing parked on dirt in the barn, the rust on the headliner tells me

The yellow material could be a bond coat [primer paint] to let the color
coat stick to the plastic bumper cover... weathered badly. Bumper seems
intact, so a sand and repaint should set it right... Have your local
automotive paint supply make up some spray cans of the car's color match...

Well, all those trillions in "stimulus" $ went somewhere.  They 
certainly did NOT go to "Shovel ready" public works projects or 
anywhere else in the economy where there is visible change.


I can believe the uberwealthy laundered the $ and has it stashed 
somewhere.  Not that it does any good to anyone if it is all paper. 
If/when paper is traded for something useful, it becomes real.  If 
paper is traded for metal, for example, then it supports a productive 
industry, mining, refining and perhaps minting if the metal is in the 
shape of a coin.
