Re: [MBZ] My new lift

2021-09-23 Thread Andrew Strasfogel via Mercedes
I was seriously considering a scissors lift in my old garage with a low
clearance. The model I was contemplating had a vertical lift of 45 in.

Mohawk System 1A-10. It’s their smallest two post. 10K pounds symmetrical. The
7K pound asymmetrical which Jaime has was discontinued recently.

I have been sort of toying with the idea of looking into a Rotary as they are
made locally in Indiana. I would not ever approach the usage of a commercial
garage.

Even their scissor lift looks interesting, it looks like it would not have much
of an overhead minimum, and it doesn't block the vehicle doors like a post lift
can.

It is a 2 post Mohawk System 1A -10. It uses hydraulics for equalization, not
cables like inferior lifts such as rotary and all the rest. The hydraulic lines
cross over up top but a kit is available to route under the concrete. If you
are creative you can route the lines around walls etc.

Mohawk is what municipalities, government, military etc use. It’s a forever
lift. Much better built than the competition. Jaime has one too. He turned me
onto them in fact.
