Agreed Plain Leine is ok, but the summer shandy is crap. I have not tried any other. I guessed it was crap too. However, the new owner put in a very modern Bühler brewing and packaging system. It is downright purdy! (As most stuff made in Germany is. ) I am sure the Bühler guys drive around in Mercedes Benz, and not old ones. Yuengling is right down the street from the university I attended (USF) and worked at for a short while. Close enough that we could pop over there between classes and grab a few samples or enjoy a black and tan. For that matter, Busch Gardens is also just as close, so a lot of us had annual passes and would pop over there to ride a coaster or two during the off season when you could get in and out easily. Lectures were always more enjoyable with a little buzz. -D > On Aug 1, 2019, at 9:18 AM, Max Dillon via Mercedes > wrote: > > It was better when still a small independent brewery, but at least now one > can find it nation wide, if one can find the original. Both Rogue and Deschutes have porters I like. I haven't tried the other. MA has MANY great microbrews. My favorite is Berkshire Brewing's Coffee House Porter, a mild porter with great coffee flavor.
