On my ThinkPads, I just set the preference for "longest battery life" and leave them plugged in most of the time. The batteries seem to last forever showing 95-100% charge unless I'm using it somewhere without an outlet. I get a couple of hours on my W530. Re: [MBZ] OT new laptops
We rarely move the laptop around, mostly it sits on either the dining room table or the kitchen table. I've taken that machine out of the house for use maybe twice in two years, so an occasional awkard load is OK. Why don't I get a desktop and nice monitors? Well we've had that set up too, and having the ability to be mobile in the house or occasionally out of the house is desired. If I get a third machine (three users in the house now) then maybe I'll get a desktop and try that again. - Max Charleston SC On Tue, Dec 1, 2020 at 11:21 AM Dan Penoff via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > You’ll most likely regret a 17” unless you’re using it for viewing DVDs or > streaming content.
