That can't leave the country she said coldly and set it aside. Haag grabbed it back, determinated to walk across Africa barefoot or swim the Atlantic Ocean to get it to Tucson. The main problem was that he had no papers from the museum releasing the meteorite. The line behind him was filled with impatient travelers, and the plane was scheduled to leave momentarily. The official was under pressure. Well, I've got these papers Haag said, and thrust all his Nigerian money on the table. I have something back here he continued and turned around to retrieve a bag. Over 5 million people are severely affected by the floods according to todays newspaper. After yesterdays tragedy, i really dont feel like leaving the hotel for any sort of longjourney today, i will go to a Tiger preserve today for some more tourism. I am still waiting on a call for a piece today, but will leave here early tomorrow, regardless of whether it comes or not. There have been some questions posed as to exactly how much meteorite there is. Even here noone has any idea. There was one 5.7 kilogram stone, that I held, then i know of another which landed nearby and was smashed up into many fragments, it should also have been 5 or 6 kilos. Then another piece that hit the hut, the one where my already controversial fragment came from, that stone weighed 5-8 kilos, and was also smashed by the natives. It has dissapered, some fragments to different people, the largest piece taken by a policeman who has not been found yet. they are trying, i have gotten calls every few hours, so they are trying. I offered a nice price for it. There seem to be alreay some rumors coming out through Atul's contacts. I have made no firm offer on anyhting other than a large price should they acquire me a large piece. No 70,000 rupees offered for anything, as I have seen nothing to buy. The stones in the custody of the revenue minister in Kendrapara are of course off limits as the local and federal government are already fighting over them. So I do not know the total weight or even how many stones were found, but to the best figuring it is only 3 known to exist. Unfortunately it was sunset when I had to divert from car to motorcycle the other nice to get to the village where the hut smasher fell, and since it was flooded, and almost dark, I left my camera in the car. So I did not get a photo of the crater and damage to the hut, and it is impossible, to far to go back to that village. According to the people, virtually millions saw the fall, the firball exploded and broke into many pieces, many explosions, boom boom boom boom boom, like that they said, it is clear that the meteorite broek up very high and into many pieces, it was so large I assume that likely hundreds of stones fell. The village where the hut smasher fell, the people described the fire in the sky that made all of the women and children scream in terror, lasted a few seconds, then came the booming sounds, then one or two minutes later, screaming sounds like they had never heard, then the people still outside saw the dirt flying and the stone bounce accross the village square. They said they heard several such sounds, but since it was already dark, they do not know where the others landed, and the village like all others, is very tiny, just one small trail in between the rows of huts. It is on a raised little island, surrounded by swamps and rice paddies. It is clear that many more stones fell nearby, but now sit 3 feet under water in the mud, never to be found. that is the only stone that landed on the raised village. As far as the homes that burned, it has nothing to do with the meteorite as far as i can tell, they were in villages that saw the fireball, and i think they just associated the disaster with the firball. One neat bit of local lore, the Hindus here believe in many gods, one of which is names Indra, the god of lightning, a bad god who likes to kill people by throwing lightning and killing people and cows (apparently hundreds are killed here by lightning, no wonder due to the everyday thunderstorms and everyone working in the rice paddies). they all thought that this was a terrible punishment from Indra, who through burning stones at the people. they also all asked me how to protect themselves from the lightning, of course I have no answer, only get out of the rain when it comes. The people look at me like some kind of strange being, most in

Hi Mike, this is just the personal and sick opinion of Matteo. Especially the people, who collect meteorites or ar in this business have a larger horizon and a differnet perspective. From a point of view of a meteorite approaching the little blue ball in space, there is no place for simple minded nationalisms. So please write he instead of they. For the record. The first experience I ever had with a meteorite dealer was only months ago. I placed a few adds on free ad sites asking for PF meteorites. I figured what the heck. The second person I heard from was Matteo. He badgered me to buy pf from him for $40g. I told him I was buying for a lot less here in Illinois. He then went on the met-line and started complaining about people like me making the market go to ruin or whatever that gibberish means. There's more to the story but the fact is that he was rude and very aggressive. I thought he was some crazy kid. If I didn't have so many years of business exp. I might have been intimidated or completely turned away from this wonderful new interest. I wonder how many other newbies he tries to stalk on the internet. Believe me, I know the difference between an honest inquiry and, for lack of a better word, a jerk that's trying to con me. I never intended to mention it but now it seems to have meaning. Hi list, I think all this is NOT about Italians or Americans. I know Italy very well and I know a lot of Italians. In fact this part of Bern, Switzerland where I live is called Little Italy. Italy is a wonderful country with very nice people and - the best food in the world. I'm sure the same is true for the US - maybe with one exception concernig food;-). But there is one guy - it doesn't matter where he is from - who should no longer be on this list - Excuse me, I'm getting emotional for a moment: MATTEO, JUST SHUT U! Leave this list and don't come back unless you have to say something that REALLY has to do with METEORITES ! Peter M., Bern

[meteorite-list] Intermission/Membrane Box Finding
Good Morning- Lets take a break from the email battles going on (I'm tired of them and just zapping without opening) and let me tell you about a neat membrane trick I found. Recently I purchased about 1/10th of a gram of Johnstown in dust and crumbs. They came in a vial, which looked good, but I thought in one of Mr. Hartman's membrane boxes would look much nicer. So I carefully poured them into the center of one of the small boxes, spread them to about 3/8 diameter and gently put the lid on tightly. Then I held it up to admire my work and it all slid South within the box. I emailed Mr. Hartman and he was kind enough to type me back with a note that the boxes were not really designed for crumbs and dust. Generally 1/8 or larger pieces work best. There is also a small vent hole in the membranes to relieve the pressure when coupling which the crumbs can fall through. So I came up with this idea. I poured the crumbs and dust back into the vial and got a new approx. 5/8 OD/ 3/8 ID faucet O ring washer, laid it in the center of the membrane and poured the vial back within the washer. Then reapplied the lid. I held it up and it was wonderful The crumbs and dust stayed in place within the O ring and yet spread out enough to see the assortment of fragments. Another neat thing is if you lay the membrane box flat and lightly tap it, the dust goes to the bottom and the crumbs to the top. It may be simple but this really made my day. I may take a photo of it with the engineering camera at work tomorrow- if anyone would like to see it- email me off list and I would be happy to send it to you. Everyone have a nice Sunday. Maybe we can talk some meteorites and collecting on the list today. Take care, Mike Groetz IMCA#8474 (And proud of it!) __ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! From: Michael Farmer From: Michael Farmer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [meteorite-list] India Meteorite Report from the scene Date: Thu, 9 Oct 2003 22:53:26 -0700 (PDT) Hi everyone, internet here is little better than smoke signals, it has taken me almost 2 hours to go through 50 emails, so slow, and Matteo's crying like a 2 year old baby. Matteo, shut the hell up, PLEASE, if I see another email about "Other people is make prices ruin" I will have to beat the hell out of you when I see you (Just kidding, but only a little). OK I am in the strewnfield. I have a small piece of the meteorite. IT is an H chondrite and similar to Zag, veining and slickensides. There is EXTREME flooding here, all parts are under water, there is NO HOPE of recovering more material unless it is simply in a village and not known about yet. the strewnfield is some miles long, traveling between two villages that the local assured me were only 5 km apart by air took over 2 hours by road (if you can call it that). India is beautiful and horrible at the same time. The road is covered with untold thousands of people, dogs, cows, goats, etc, NONE of which move or are even slightly annoyed by the incessant use of the horn, we actually ran over a dogs foot yesterday, he would not move until the car ran right over him. I felt sorry for it but then again if anything is that stupid. I also wish I had a gun with me, to put some of the stupidist creature on the planet (The cow) out of their misery (or ignorant bliss) whichever it is. There are thousands of them, laying in the roads, cars just go around them whereever possible. the entire area is flooded, and I mean bad, hundreds of thousands of miles under water, looks like the ocean with small patched of trees and huts standing out of it. Roads are almost not more than small trails with everyone and everything blocking them. Most of the meteorite has been taken by the police, I am working on tracking down a couple of pieces, but it looks hopeless as it takes me 6 hours to get to the area even though it is only 70 miles away, the max spees is about 10 miles an hour on the highway and about 2 miles an hour on the village route. these are small villages, I mean aobut 10 familes each, no electricity, nothing more than some mud huts in a land of mud. I had to go on motorcycle for a few miles last night with a spectacular lightning show in the distance, it was the most eery and beatiful drive I have ever taken, the flooded swampland, cool wind, nice people and all made me fell like I was in some sort of 16 th century expedition. When we got to the village, the people showed me where a 6-8 kilo stone fell, coming down right down the slanted roof of a hut, denting in the grass roof and making a large crater at the base of the hut. That stone was taken 2 days ago, but I have two competing guys traking down the person who took it, to get it for me. We will see if this hut smasher comes home with me. I do have a 13 gram fragment of it, (They smashed it). The meteorite is like Zag, large veins and slickensides. The 6 hour trip back to town last night was the most harrowing of my life, I would say at least 50 near head on collisions with giant trucks, busses, all without lights, cars on the wrong side of the road, washed out roads, cows of course (and they would much rather drive off a cliff and die than kill a cow here!). there should be hundreds of stones, but it is all rivers and swamps and rice paddies, all under several feet of water, so virtually none will be recovered. I saw photos of the 5 kilo stone, very nice. Anyway, sorry for the format of this email, but using the computer here is not easy. Anyone thinking of coming to get some, forget it, as it is, with my 13 gram piece, i will have paid over $400.00 gram for my piece! But I will have memories of a lifetime of this hunt, which doing it alone, I already consider by far my most exotic and interesting. the people in the villages do not speak english or Hindi, but Orissi, a local tribal language. the meteorite fell only about 1/2 mile from the Bay of Bengal (but now it seems to be in the Bay of bengal with everything under water anyway). I will post more info as soon as I can. Mike Farmer Meteorite Hunter Writing from Orissa India. __ Meteorite-list mailing list [EMAIL
[meteorite-list] Apology to the list from India
Ok, it was another hard day in the trenched/sewers here. I went back to the fall site, trying to find anyone who knew where a specimen was, to no avail. So I just get back to the hotel and read the emails, and finally realized what a mess this has become. I want to apologize to all on the list, for once again allowing my short fuse to be lit. All of you who know me, know that I am very easily provoked, that is my worst weakness, and some have used it against me, taunting me and causing me to erupt, making me look bad. Well, I do try, but it is a character flaw, which is so easily exploited. So I say I am sorry that I allowed myself to sink down to that level. I wanted nothing more than to come here and of course do another succesful meteorite fall chase, and tell everyone about it. Things turned out poorly, the floods covered the meteorites, the rest are locked up or lost. I am thrilled to have acqired a tiny piece of this meteorite, one which I will look at from time to time and remember the beauty and horror of the place it fell. That is what meteorites are to me. I really could care less about type, i am more interested in the story behind each piece. I am preparing to start a book about my adventures, of course it will be full of stories of the places I have gone, the people behind the meteorites. The pink man in Bilanga-Yanga, lying in hotel bed puking my guts out in Ouagadougou while Bob Haag wanted to go party!, the large piece of Ourique that I haggled for 2 hours to get from an old man who owned a bar, then his exasperated wife grabbing the money and shoving the stone in my hand, disbeleiving that her husband would not take my money! Nearly stepping on the piece of Portales Valley that I found, while Devon Schrader stepped right over it. Those are the things that make my meteorites worth collecting. India will have the top spot, if only I have the small 13 gram fragment, without even fusion crust that I love so much:( I do not want to see myself tricked into these absolutely useless barroom brawls. It was fun with Casper, but this is not fun anymore. Anyway, I will write again should something change, and to tell what treasures I see in Calcutta. I will see many of you in Gifhorn in less than two weeks, and Munich in 3 weeks. All of you Germans know that I have a fond taste for Bratwurst, if not German beer. I cant wait to savor another Kraut and wurstschen at Hannover Hauptbahnhof. By the way, someone asked me to describe the meteorite, and it got lost in the other garbage spewing from my and others mouths. Well here goes. The Meteorite is a chondrite, almost certainly H5, looks identical to Zag inside, large veins and brecciation, lots of slickensides. The fusion crust is where it differs from Zag. It is very thick, solid fusion crust, whereas Zag has thick crust, but not solid, as in many bumps and vesicle-like holes. This meteorite has very solid thick crust, smooth though, and the large piece has contraction cracks similar to Nuevo Mercurio. It clearly broke up extensively very high, there are deep regmaglypts all over the stone, and grooves. I did not see any flow lines. I almost drooled on the large stone it was so beautiful. I would love to see that piece in my collection. The other stone which fell nearby was smashed up, and the 500 gram fragment that the police still had, was covered in deep regmaglypts like the large stone. When the police re-sealed the metal box where they are being held, they wrapped it in cord (the box) and then used the old wax seal method to melt wax on the cord and stamped it so that it can not be opened without seeing that the seal is broken. The meteorite is also severly suffering from the hostile climate here, 90 degrees, and 100% humidity are taking it's toll already, two weeks after the fall it is covered in rust on the broken sides. any other questions regarding the meteorite? Of course I will publish a webpage for this fall, with too many photos for all to see. We all know how rare for us to see any Indian meteorite fall. [meteorite-list] Another note about this place.
I gave a nice sum of money to the red cross here today, they are helping the relief efforts. In the news was a terrible report, reminding me of the plagues of the old testiment. As if the floods are not bad enough, now the snakes are killing scores of people. With almost every inch of ground under water, millions of snakes including King Cobras, are swarming all the dry land, which happens to be where the people are crowding as well, and people are being bitten and dieing all over from snakebites. the rice crops are ruined, and will take months to replant and mature. If any of you want, please make a small donation to the red cross, they help so many people all over the world. I saw 20 or 30 snakes today, most dead, killed on the roads, but some alive, all small, no cobras, but my driver assured me all were very dangerous. I also saw a spider today that was hanging in a web, but was larger than my hand! not a taruntula, but a friggen spider that big, it scared the crap out of me, as I am terribly frightened of spiders. ill have nightmares about it tonight.
[meteorite-list] Urucau NaOH etched) Breaking the Spell
In an attempt to break the spell of dispute that is running rampant through this list I post the following pictures. They show what happens to a Uruacu iron that was nitrol etched, then again etched in NaOH for the anti-rusting treatment. What is amazing is that the NaOH etches the sulfides in this meteorite to produce a striking gold and multicolored almost fractal like pattern in these minerals. Upon closer inspection with a metallographic microscope amazing structures can be seen in these minerals that were not so readily apparent before the base etching. The photos show the multicolored sulfides against the dull silver acid etched kamacite and taenite the minerals. What can be seen clearly in the second photograph are parallel lines in that sulfide mineral. Looking through the microscope, this is much more apparent than in this photograph which is taken with a Sony Mavica camera held to the eyepiece. There are many other things visible in these grains that have been colored by this base etching that are not so apparent these photographs. I have much to learn about this process, and what these minerals are and how they formed. So, any comments?Steve Schoner\AMS Photos: http://www.geocities.com/american_meteorite_survey/Uruacu3.jpg http://www.geocities.com/american_meteorite_survey/Uruacu4.jpg . Thankyou, Mike, for comfirming a riddle I've had about membrane boxes for sometime. I too have been curious about the small migration of dust into the bottom of these boxes. And I thought I was the only one. I'm now been using #2 capsule inside this boxes for the rarest of the rare. Howard WuMike Groetz [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Good Morning- Lets take a break from the email battles going on(I'm tired of them and just zapping without opening)and let me tell you about a neat membrane trick Ifound. Recently I purchased about 1/10th of a gram ofJohnstown in dust and crumbs. They came in a vial, which looked good, but I thought in one of Mr.Hartman's membrane boxes would look much nicer. So I carefully poured them into the center of oneof the small boxes, spread them to about 3/8" diameterand gently put the lid on tightly. Then I held it up to admire my work and it all slidSouth within the box. I emailed Mr. Hartman and he was kind enough totype me back with a note that the boxes were notreally designed for crumbs and dust. Generally 1/8" orlarger pieces work best. There is also a small venthole in the membranes to relieve the pressure whencoupling which the crumbs can fall through. So I came up with this idea. I poured the crumbsand dust back into the vial and got a new approx. 5/8"OD/ 3/8" ID faucet "O" ring washer, laid it in thecenter of the membrane and poured the vial back withinthe washer. Then reapplied the lid. I held it up and it was wonderful The crumbsand dust stayed in place within the "O" ring and yetspread out enough to see the assortment of fragments. Another neat thing is if you lay the membrane boxflat and lightly tap it, the dust goes to the bottomand the crumbs to the top. It may be simple but this really made my day. I maytake a photo of it with the engineering camera at worktomorrow- if anyone would like to see it- email me offlist and I would be happy to send it to you. Everyone have a nice Sunday. [meteorite-list] NP Article, 03-1949 Sikhote Meteorite Article
(Sorry if your part of my e-mail list and get this twice, didn't mean to send it there) Paper: Lethbridge Herald City: Lethbridge, Alberta Date: Thursday, March 10, 1949 Page: 16 SIBERIAN METEORITE (From the Manchester Guardian.) The arrival on earth of a giant meteorite is a rare occurrence. When it happens we may be reasonably content if it is at the other end of the world rather than in own neighborhood. There seems no reason in the nature of things why the thousand-tonner which struck a remote spot in Eastern Siberia on February 12, 1947, should now have landed in Lancashire. We should not then have had to wait to find its arrival recorded in "Nature" nearly two years later, but, on balance, we need not grumble at that. we are more inclined, if it is not too late, to congratulate the distant inhabitants of the Amoor River valley that the strange monster found its target in the neighboring mountain range and apparently caused little human loss. It came in daylight and almost outshone the sun for a few seconds for which it was seen from every town and village within 125 miles. The noise of the explosions which accompanied it and of the final crash were carried nearly as far and meteoric fragments were scattered over a radius of seven or eight miles. there seems to have been no central crater of the Arizona type, the whole meteorite breaking up into thousands of fragments, but more than a hundred funnels were found in the rocks, some of them six yards deep and three times as wide, and there was considerable destruction of trees. Though rather fanicfully described by one of the Russian scientists as a "minor planet," this was certainly an outsize in land-falling meteorites, and geo-physicists the world over will take all the interest in it that they are allowed. A large part of the affected region has been closed and placed at disposal of he Academy of Sciences if the U.S.S.R., which has already sent two expeditions to the site. But so long as the present theory of Russian science for the Russians prevails, international scientists are likely to find Eastern Siberia even more remote than it has usually been. Please visit, www.MeteoriteArticles.com, a free on-line archive of meteor and meteorite articles. Please visit, www.MeteoriteArticles.com, a free on-line archive of meteor and meteorite articles.

[meteorite-list] Wonderful story
Hi All, I just wanted to publically thank Stu for sharing his wonderful story about his Outreach work with children in the Shetland Islands. To any new list subscribers (or quiet lurkers who have been hesitant to contribute), gems like Stu's post are one of the many reasons to stay subscribed. With a list of this size, skirmishes will occasionally break out, but these storms are generally short-lived and should not be construed as business as usual. For those who might have missed Stu's post, he visited five schools in five days, showing meteorites to hundreds of children, most of whom had probably never before held a meteorite in their own hands. As an extra nice touch, he brought along some small pieces of Zagami, which must have been a great hit with kids who had watched Mars blazing all summer in their beautifully dark skies. There is no telling how many meteorite enthusiasts (and future scientists, hunters and customers!) will result from Stu's expedition up north. We all have something to contribute to this hobby -- don't be afraid to share your own experiences, however trivial they may seem to you. You'll inspire others (as Stu has now inspired me) to get out there and share your knowledge and passion with others -- especially children. You really can make a difference. [meteorite-list] Bessey Specks and aphasia.
Here is something that amuses me. For those of you who do not know, I was nearly died and was in a coma in the hospital last January. I was in there, ICU and rehab for over a month. I received many, many letters from all of you from all around the world wishing me the best recovery. (At the initial moment the doctors were certain that I would not recover at all). Well one package came to me while I was in the Rehab unit suffering from the aftermath of this very rare condition that overtook me. It was a package from Dean Bessy up in Toronto. It had a very nice note, which was read to me as I could not read due to the aphasia that was affecting me by one of the nurses at the time.. Any demand on me at that time that involconceptualizationaton was beyond me. It was very frustrating. Then the nurse said, "Oh, there is a container in this package?" Low and behold, it was a tiny round plastic container with two very tiny specks Aphasia is a very odd state of mind to be in. Words mean nothing in print. A printed page was as unreadable as if it were written in Russian. And not only that, putting together even the simplest concepts was way beyond me. It was so bad, if the nurse asked me what one plus one was I could not give her any meaningful answer. The nurse then held it up to my face and showed me the two tiny specks, and asked me "What are these?"Well, that questionperplexed me as well. I had absolutely no idea whatthose two specks were. I didn't even know that they were meteorites let alone regular earth dust.I mean, I did noteven know whatBessy Specs were, and neither did the nurse. She was just as mystified about what those specs were as I was in myaphasicstate of mind.Sheleft the letter and jet pack on the counter next in my hospital bed where Icould reach them. Many times I reached over with my left hand, as my right side was completely dead, for that small plastic container with those two tiny specs. And for hours I triedto figure out what it was. It make no sense at all. Then my wife came and saw the package and the container. "Oh, someone sent you something?" I could not talk then, and only acknowledged with a nod. She then read the letter again, but it gave no clue as to what the specks were, or why they had been sent. My wife did not know. Then she looked into the jet pack and found a card that said: "Sayah Al Uhaymir 90 Meteorite from the Planet Mars found in Oman. TKW 94 grams, but these are likely paired stones." Then it was followed by Bessy's address. Then she said, "Are thosetwo tiny things in there meteorites? Those are not 94 grams. Then she looked into the jet pack and found a card that said: "Sayah Al Uhaymir 90 Meteorite from the Planet Mars found in Oman. TKW 94 grams, but these are likely paired stones." Then it was followed by Bessey's address. Then she said, "Are thosetwo tiny things in there meteorites? Those are not 94 grams. Maybe there issample in all of the packing inside the container."She attempted to open it as I watched, but was thwarted by the tape on the outside of the container. She could not open it so put it back. Rehab meetings got our attention andI wasput into a wheel chair for therapy. When I got back to my hospital room later in the day, thatcontainer mystified me again. I picked it up and looked atit for quite some time. I'd put it down, completely degraded conceptually, and then laterpick it up again, and try to figure it out again.. I remembered Dean Bessey but could not remember that he sold "specks" even though I had one (two very tiny ones) in my hands. Well, I have said all of this and related this story to say, that I do have two very, very tiny Bessey Specks" in my collection. And I remember them, and all of the consternation that they caused me while

they have many styles, maybe they have flat o-rings now as standard stock - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Mark Ferguson [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, October 12, 2003 7:56 PM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Re: [meteoritecollectorsassociation] Intermission/Membrane Box Finding Hello Mark I would suggest instead of O rings a flat washer type ring would be better as the dust would be less likely to hide under the edge of the ring. Re: [meteorite-list] Hunting meteorites out in India.
Hello, Howard and the list, this method has been used also in the recovering meteorites. My friend tried to find several years ago some Marjalahti-fragments with an electric magnet from the bay beside the fall-point. Anyway, the area was used as a military-base, and when he got some ammo and gas-tanks in his magnet, he gladly gave up the operation. But if you know the area and what you are looking for, why not. In the flood areas there may be quite a lot of other things to find, so instead of a meteorite you may have in your magnet all other interresting things...;- Also one way could be to use magnetometers (used by geophysicans), these should react at least if there are bigger irons on the area. The problem with these is the same with the magnet, they reatcs in all metal-rubbish on the bottom. take care, pekka s Howard Wu wrote: Dumb suggestion: I recall seeing people using big magnets to search lakes for dropped motors. [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: What I would like to mention is that the Apple Rubber company in NY (no, they aren't that kind of company) make all sizes of o-rings and are especially noted for the manufacture of silicon o-rings in just about any color you can think of including a translucent uncolored one. Ifanyone were togo into a scuba store and tell them you need a few spare black o-rings, they might just give you a few for free. A scuba tank uses ano-ring asthe contact betweenits valve and that of theregulator's first stage. Most all divers carry a few spares in their gearbags just in case - even if a scuba store wanted to sell you a few rather than giving them away, they're dirt cheap...especially compared to that specimen you're wanting to protect. ;-) Gregory (PADI Divemaster, #180640)

Re: [meteorite-list] Re: Pardon me, dude
Might I request (for the sake of my in-box and my love of meteorites, which I assume you share) that the combatants confine any muck-slinging to exchanges OFF THE LIST. Did both of you come down with brain fever? I don't recall either of you acting in such a childish way to such an extent previously. I can handle an occasional snide remark, but I fear you are driving new List members away by burying useful information and friendly exchanges under what my father used to call a blizzard of shit.
