Re: New x86, 4,5W Hardware Fit-PC Fillet
Hi Jan, Thanks for the heads-up! One of those fitlet-X ( http://www.fit-pc.com/web/products/fitlet/fitlet-x/) seems like an almost perfect firewall/VPN SoHo solution :) Kind regards. It would be helpful to know if this problem has been fixed for you between 5.6 and 5.7 releases. Martin Pieuchot has done a lot of work on the USB stack over the past months. FWIW I'm sometimes still seeing ehci_idone spinning with my USB keyboard and mouse attached behind several USB hubs, but otherwise not anymore.
Re: Symon on 5.6
Hello, for me, it didn't work as well. I (think I) did everything needed, including rrdtool-chroot enable, and I had the same effect as you - no graphs. Only after copying /bin/sh the graphs started working. I didn't do much investigation though. Oh and: I'm running nginx, if that matters. Can you please share your nginx.conf? I couldn't get Syweb to work with Nginx no matter what I've tried. Thanks! -- Karlis

I don't think it's the nginx.conf, the only thing I did was uncomment this section...: --8<--- # pass the PHP scripts to FastCGI server listening on 127.0.0.1:9000 # location ~ \.php$ { root /var/www/htdocs; fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME \ $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; includefastcgi_params; } ->8- ...after installing PHP. Crash cart console adapters compatible with OpenBSD?
Hey folks, I'm looking for something like this that I can plug into a network debugging laptop to get console access to servers in a rack. Ideally the laptop would run OpenBSD or in a pinch Linux. The comments section of this page says there is required software and that it stopped working when upgrading from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04. That suggests to me this would not work with OpenBSD http://ca.startech.com/Server-Management/KVM-Switches/Portable-USB-PS-2-KVM-Console-Adapter-for-Notebook-PCs~NOTECONS01 Can anyone suggest something similar that would? thanks, -Alan -- "Don't eat anything you've ever seen advertised on TV" - Michael Pollan, author of "In Defense of Food"

You could try looking for a KVM over IP that supports VNC. http://www.adder.com/products/categories/kvm-over-ip is one company I found doing a quick search. Absolutely no experience with them, not a recommendation, just an observation that such a thing exists. Also I'm scared to look for a price. -- Jon

Futur donateur
Cordialement _ Hi First, I would congratulate you for your job!!! Then, I would make a donation (regularly) but I don't know on what site I must make my donation: http://www.openbsd.org/index.html or http://www.openbsdfoundation.org/index.html What is the difference? Is money use differently on each plateform? Last, the website of fundation is "new and user friendly". I thinks that, if it's possible, the website of openbsd.org must be update (good impact for communication and visibility I think) Best regards -- Ingénieur Réseaux & Télécommunications LAHOUZE Olivier 26 rue du Dr REBATEL 69003 Lyon 06 19 43 62 58 http://www.avast.com

This is very low volume accumulation, but gives me the flexibility to solve problems quickly. For contributions to the OpenBSD Foundation, a board of directors (independent from me) makes spending decisions based upon their own criteria. The Foundation is accumulating a larger fund, and has to demonstrate their spending: http://www.openbsdfoundation.org/activities.html It is up to you! > Is money use differently on each plateform? It goes to OpenBSD in the end, here or there, to encourage innovative open source development by a community of volunteers.

Re: Crash cart console adapters compatible with OpenBSD?
This one seems reasonable so I will get one in to try out. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA5SC1VA2702&cm_re=lantronix_spider-_-9SIA5SC1VA2702-_-Product The only downside I see is that a laptop will have only 1 NIC and so I won't have both a console and network connection at the same time. I guess I could also get a USB NIC adapter for a 2nd NIC.

Re: Crash cart console adapters compatible with OpenBSD?
I've got about 10 of these where I work (Adder iPEPS: http://www.adder.com/products/adderlink-ipeps). I got them because we needed to have a set of workstations to use for builds. Basically, they work pretty well. Sometimes they loose their brains, but for the most part they just work. Some people complained about them losing calibration and/or other problem, but I never had any issues. The model I got (about 5 years ago) were VGA. Now they have more options: http://www.adder.com/products/categories/dvi-and-usb-over-ip Still and all, I rather like them. You know, for when you're VPNed in from your phone and need to get on a console (which happened once, but not with the workstations. . .). Sean PS The run RealVNC's server, I believe. PPS No, I'm not a shill, I just have them, and I use them, and find they're acceptable. A new snapshot with the changes should hit the mirrors in a day or two. Keep in mind not everything will work. Looking at http://compulab.co.il/utilite-computer/web/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Utilite-block-diagram.png imx PCIE isn't supported currently so the I211 em(4) won't attach. The i2c connected eeprom with the mac address for the ixmnet(4) interface and the i2c connected rtc won't work. And I don't see how audio/video/wifi could work currently. For the mac address eeprom at least there is some code in Bitrig which could be used.
