Re: [Mobile.AI] Managing Homescreen Icons on Android 5.1.1
Haven't come across such an option, maybe, someone else on the list can throw light on it. Here's how I remove unrequired app icons from the home screen: 1. Identify the app icon on home screen to be removed. 2. Long press the same. 3. Swipe it to the upper edge of the screen. Note:- 1. Swiping to the left or right help you move the app icon to the previous/next screen if it exists. 2. Sighted users get to see a Remove icon towards the upper edge after long pressing the app icon which is not indicated by Talkback. I just swipe the app icon out of the screen to remove it and touch its location back again to confirm it is removed. [Mobile.AI] Talkback: weird behaviour
Hi All, Recently I switched from a static wallpaper to a live wallpaper on my Lava IRIS X8 phone powered by Android Kitkat running Talkback 4.3.1.2. Post this change, Talkback speaks "Screen Off" when Power switch is pressed to lock the screen (this is what I wanted since the time I started using Android in June 2015). Earlier, it used to speak below details: . Current Date and Time . Next Alarm Date and Time . Network Service Provider Name . "Screen Off" . Battery Status (unsure if it spoke) I switched back to static wallpaper to check if it's really due to the change in wallpaper that Talkback is responding differently to Power switch press. No wonder! it speaks "Screen Off" now irrespective of the kind of wallpaper. . Has someone noticed this behaviour of Talkback earlier? . Can someone tell me what must have caused this change in the way Talkback is responding to Power switch press when phone is in the unlocked state? Best Regards, Zujar. --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. http://www.avast.com Search for previous postings at: http://www.mail-archive.com/mobile.accessindia@accessindia.org.in ___ Mobile.accessindia mailing list Mobile.accessindia@accessindia.org.in http://accessindia.org.in/mailman/listinfo/mobile.accessindia_accessindia.org.in to post send mail to: mobile.accessindia@accessindia.org.in Disclaimer: 1. Re: [Mobile.AI] Location identification in Nokia N79
The approaching railway station is announced well in Mumbai suburban trains. For determining the nearby tower, you need to turn Cell Info Display on. This option can be found under the below path: Menu Tools Settings Phone Network Cell Info Display Press the SELECT key to toggle between On and Off. Note that this works well on Basic standby theme only. You can switch to the Basic standby theme at the below path: Menu Tools Settings General Personalization Themes Standby Basic The active theme in the above navigation appears checked, pressing the SELECT key on a different option switches the theme to the selected option. Re: [Mobile.AI] few questions regarding whats app-really important for me
For sending messages stored on your phone, you need to copy the message text. Then open WhatsApp, select the desired recipient and hit the SELECT key to open a chat window. Paste the copied content to the WhatsApp chat window followed by the SELECT key to send. For sending quotations stored on your computer, create text files and take them on to your phone. Select the text file using File Manager application present on your phone and press the SEND key. You get a popup with various options that can be made use of, select Via WhatsApp and hit the SELECT key. WhatsApp is launched, select the desired recipient and het the SELECT key. It asks for a confirmation (this screen is probably not friendly with the screen reader), just hit the SELECT key or OPTION 1 key and it would be sent. Note that I'm using Symbian 60 based Nokia N79 and the above methods work well on it. They may differ in case of other phone operating systems.
